I think the last image is getting a little bit too blurred. Personally I prefer the original combined with a little bit of the lighting of the second. But this is probably just one of those things where everyone prefers something different.

One thing, the weapons are all 45 degrees, which works on a status bar, but look unbalanced to me when shown in the level.

Not much to show or talk about at the moment. I've done more work on the graphics and also have developed a unified palette from all the different images in the game at the moment (tiles, heroes, zog, etc..)

To help with this I've written a colour remapping routine so I don't have to manually change things in my editor. This also helps when I add colours and have to move existing ones around.

Slow but steady tinkering at the moment, helping develop the style and seeing what I like and what doesn't work. Smiley

I've worked on the graphics some more today, and improved the gradient support in the engine. I'm hoping to only use gradients where necessary and subtly, so the improved support in the engine was required for that.
