Just finished the Mistborn trilogy. Amazing ride, full of twists that I never saw coming. The ending was better than I ever could have imagined.
I want a videogame.

What's that you say?

Autothysis.

My condolences, comrade. But your alarming accusation against Glyph astounded me.

Momentum must be maintained, mate. An allegation advances the argument, however harrowingly.

I just got done watching the first episode of Gravity Falls. This is the first time in a while that i actually feel like watching a Disney Channel show every week.

Wow! That was actually REALLY good. Dude, you have great taste in cartoons.  Smiley

Multitudes of mysteries mass in our murderous midst.

Autothysis, an understandable utterance, unconvincing though it is.

Autothysis, so apt to assault and attack your acquaintances and allies, to allay suspicion of association?

Well, I insinuate you to be an insurgent yourself... I impugn your integrity, indeed.

Attest to your allegiance, Autothysis! Convince me of your constancy to the crown!

Let these treacherous treasonous traitors be tormented with terrible torture, to punish these pawn's most pressing and petrifying petty plan!

We shall defend with duty and determination our Divine dignitaries, the King and Queen!

Started reading Jeff Noon's Pixel Juice, it's a collection of short stories, he's quite influenced by Borges which shows.

Influenced by Borges? I love Borges! Color me intrigued.

Also, I am reading "Predictably Irrational", by Dan Ariely. Absolutely amazing book.

Just got the third Mistborn book: The Hero of Ages.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! SO GOOD

I eat a sandwich twice daily.

Roast beef, cheddar cheese, tomato, mustard and mayo, some pepper, on wheat. Very tasty.

Also, if light is just a wave that is just the same wave as microwaves or radiowaves but with a different size, then shouldnt microwaves or radiowaves be, in essence, photons?

The only difference between the visible light spectrum (red to blue) and the non-visible light spectrum (x-rays, microwaves, radio waves, etc.) is wavelength. Simple as that. They all consist of wave-particle photons.

This means that Jupiters planets could have a constant magnetic field!!

All planets with cores have constant magnetic fields. How do you think compasses work?

Also, Nikola Tesla supposedly was capable of sending energy across the air. Only now are scientists attempting the to achieve the same results as Nikola Tesla and they are having a hard time replicating what someone did a hundred years ago.

It's very difficult to replicate something that probably never happened.

Woah! This topic has totally been moved to Games!

Right here!

If they're daddy long-legs, tough it out. Those guys are the weird uncles of spiders. Creepy, but they won't hurt you unless you're too small to struggle and tell your mother.

I am ashamed to admit I laughed at this.

Interesting style and aesthetic! The gameplay sounds mighty wonderful, to boot. Keep up the good work -- I'm keeping my eyes on this one!

What do you mean, 'override'? You mean target for them?
377  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XXI: The Hand of God [COMPLETE] on: June 10, 2012, 05:10:24 PM
Does anyone care to host the next one? I am antsy to get some more fixin' of TWG! Smiley
378  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XXI: The Hand of God [COMPLETE] on: June 10, 2012, 11:53:43 AM
Yeah, I really should have given everyone a small minor ability, like a career or role they have in the town. Lighthouse manager, blacksmith, etc... would have given you guys a lot more to do. Sorry about that. Sad
379  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XXI: The Hand of God [COMPLETE] on: June 09, 2012, 11:27:17 PM
There was no PM interception. I just liked seeing you guys squirm.

And yeah, I was hoping that the Hand of God would be vague and suspicious enough to dissuade full commitment, and also that he wouldn't be so trustworthy of protective roles. Likewise, I was just trying to be clever with the role names -- I completely overlooked that they could be used to discern true roles. They were very clever to get that idea. Smiley

It might not be obvious, but this rule-set was originally intended for IRL play -- which is why it got so broken when you add the whole PM thing. It works a lot better when there's a lot less communication except for the werewolves -- that alone annihilates half of the master-strategy you noted, Garthy.

For future games, I will totally give demons awesome death-curses. Their death scenes were already... explosive (harhar), so it would just add to the crazy-coolness.

Also, I expected the Hand to be more receiving of democracy and votes... I find it interesting they naturally assumed total command and judgment.

I tried to give people good death scenes and lavish descriptions to minimize the sadness of death, too -- if your character went out awesomely, at least you can cherish that. Smiley

Notes of my own:

Garthy and the demons were writing poetry for their codes. It was too hilarious to not inform them. Cheesy I really should have, though! Sorry about that.

Garthy and Dacke were excellent masterminds, and this game would not have been as interesting without their insane plots and schemes. Nice work, you two.

I realized halfway through that the innocents, once united, would be almost unstoppable - I really should have given the demons extra one-use abilities each, to make up for this. Perhaps they'd trigger upon death as awesome 'curses'? Will keep in mind for future games.

Holy crap, I now loathe describing the dawn or dusk. Doing that six times each, uniquely and interestingly, was no easy task.  Epileptic

Thanks for the compliments on the writing, everyone. Smiley I will definitely host another one of these, but will probably let someone else do the next one, as it'd just be rude to do two in a row. Any takers on that?
