Ah, okay. If you ever need help with ideas, humor, anything, just ask. Also, that is an AMAZING twist. Is he also your dad? Maybe the killer of your 'fake' dad?

This banana was always about fruit. The various pears are just strawberries for fruit. Just replace the pears with fruit and it'll make much more kumquats. Observe: Question:
Who voted for oranges? I am just wondering your opinions, and such. I voted for apples, just because I like it's taste more.
I don't even know what's oranges but I think I' going to vote for it, just because I'm frigging tired of hearing about apples This reminds me of Grand Text Auto article "peaches vs. plums".

FYNDR, you took all that criticism fantastically! I applaud you! Some people would flip out, but you just nodded. Your a better person than half the internet right now! Also, I can't wait to see some more of the game, and some characters. That would be fantastic. If you need any help with storyline details and such, you can ask me. That's kind of what I do.

Haha, no I didn't mean a 'Inanimate's Monthly Compo' thread. I meant 'Unofficial Monthly Compo' thread. I was just saying I could go and write it all up. Sorry for the misconception. To clarify: I meant SOMEONE could go and make an 'Unofficial Monthly Compo' thread, and we could still have the Official ones too. I guess I am just sub-consciously egotistical! I would actually prefer that 'someone' to be a high ranking member of the community.

Idea: How 'bout I just make a monthly compo thread, unofficial of course, and we can use everyone's suggestions that are fun? That way, if the site wants to make one of those 'official' they still can, but we would still have our own compos?

A debate about the morality of cloning is essentially religious, though. And while religious/moral/philosophical debates are usually futile (if either party is unwilling to question their own beliefs), I find it very interesting to hear people's thoughts on these matters (for some reason). Though I wish everyone would share the reasoning behind their statements. If you think a clone can't have a soul or whatever, fair enough, but why do you think that? To fuel the flames (and further derail the thread): Maybe the meaning of our lives is to help the people still on the world before we die?
This would just shift the question, though. If the meaning of life is to "help" humanity, then humanity would also need a purpose, otherwise your life would still have no meaning. Well, I agree on your first point. I was just pointing out that this debate could never end except if we just all decide on one thing, which would be nigh-impossible, or just quit. I didn't mean to say that it was pointless. And also, I meant that the meaning of life might be that, well, to make other people happy. Maybe the meaning of life is to make the lives of everyone worth it? Maybe it is to try to make other people enjoy their life, and not waste it? I don't know. But I was only pointing out that an afterlife wouldn't effect the now-life. Oh, and forgot to point this out: A clone isn't just a 'one parent' child. It is a child which is genetically exactly the same as it's parent, which I find kind of creepy. Others can feel free to clone themselves... but I would not clone myself.

Besides, a clone is NOT the same as the original person. We can tell from twins. They have different personalities, thus different souls?
To clarify a bit better: Twins are essentially 'natural' clones. They have different personalities, because you are not BORN with a personality. A clone is PHYSICALLY the same as the original life form, but not in personality, spirit, and such. So, they have their own soul, don't they?

Why would you need a soul to have meaning? Maybe the meaning of our lives is to help the people still on the world before we die? Why would an afterlife add 'meaning' to a life? A life has meaning, because it is a life. No matter what you do, you affect something in the world during your life. What would the 'meaning' be if you are in the afterlife? Therefore, the afterlife has no affect on the 'meanings' of our lives.
Also, this debate has veered slightly off topic. This is about cloning, not souls. Any debate that nears religious debate is a fruitless debate, I learned that the hard way. If there is a religious point to it, you cannot argue a good argument. Religious debates never work.
