The roots of metal are in British blues rock which has fuck-all to do with the Beatles. See, that's one of the reasons why I think the Beatles are overrated. They're constantly being attributed the creation of genres they had nothing to do with. Back when I still read music magazines, I saw an article that credited them with inventing techno. I can't remember what the argumentation was but I thought it was pretty fucking hilarious. :D
They didn't invent metal, but I don't think it could have happened without them, weather or not they were a direct influence. Also, the techno argument is that they were more or less the first band to manipulate tapes or something like that.

nothing is really wrong with them
i just don't understand how people can claim they're gods of rock(i'm aware gy!gn didn't do this, but a large chunk of the people i know do) when they played music simpler than most modern pop
Some people find great beauty in simplicity. I think it's very easy to appreciate the Beatles if you look behind them as opposed to looking at what music today has become. They invented modern rock, and to an extent metal. EDIT: Woah, I missed that whole conversation. Ignore this, I guess. I don't feel like deleting this. You could pretend this came right at the beginning.

^^Yeah, probably. You probably aren't putting their music in perspective.
Corpus I completely misinterpreted what you wrote, but it seemed to me that you were criticizing the age of his music over the quality. I stand by what I wrote. For instance, I'd rather listen to Art Brut than the Sex Pistols or Ramones, I'd rather listen to Madvillian than Public Enemy, and would rather listen to Modeselektor than Kraftwerk.

I actually had an idea for a TIGS album where we'd all write odes to our favorite indie games Postal Service style. This works too though.

Right now I'm listening to NoFx. It feels good to not be listening to that pop music crap that everybody at my school listens to. Well actually just the sell out stuff. Like green day is now. Didn't Nofx sell out before Green Day? You know what, I don't care. I'd seriously rather listen to Green Day than Nofx. Anyway, I've had a This Heat craving all day that I'm about to satisfy.

They do say that for every act you commit, you become more like Satan. So I assume at the end you either: a) Kill Satan and take his place. Or b) Kill Satan and blow up Hell in a big explorgie (explosive orgie) of blood, guts, boobies, and babies. Thus you either keep hell going as the new Satan, or you blow everything up and save the world from the 'evils' of Catholicism.
Option 3: You were Satan the whole time! That's why you both have the same ax, and why you're in hell in the first place! Now that I think about it, you and Satan never had a conversation with a third person! It all makes sense now!

I played it. It was great. I don't think the daylight detracted from the atmosphere, in fact it's going to be sort of hard to play the night levels.

Seriously guys, I have three words: Wall of Ice.
If you don't know what that means I don't feel like explaining. You'll have to do with me saying I bet five bucks this isn't real.

1. This isn't necessarily real. 2. It could just be the first draft/crazy congressman wrote it ect. Obama's team has used the internet as a tool and I'm pretty sure they understand it. 3. If this is real and makes it into Congress there's really no way the Republicans will oppose this, they're too busy having their balls fondled by corporations.

If 100 people pirate a game, you'll never see 5 of them buy it. That's why they pirate it. So they don't have to buy it. That you've once bought a game that you pirated doesn't change that.
I don't have any money. In my entire life I have bought one indie game, World of Goo. I have not pirated any others. And you know what? I actually feel like this hurts developers. I'm broke, and will probably be for another few years. I haven't pirated, as I said, and I plan on buying Aquaria, Braid, Noita Love 2 ect later. But you know what? By the time I have enough money for indie games I'll probably have forgotten them. I never experienced them; they're just names and screenshots to me. If I pirated and played them I'd have an experience to remember and would be more likely to buy them later.

Every year me and some friends dress in a theme we choose the day before Halloween. Last year it was Alice in Wonderland. I'm not sure about this year, but I think the ramoes might be a good idea (cheap, recognizable).
