I'm so indie that I'm indie even when it's not cool to post here about how indie you are anymore. Because that's what being indie is about. I always thought that indie was all about working in your pajamas you wear clothes while coding!?

Ah so far no one has ever posted a screenie of this beauty. It might not be the most puzzling, dizzling or shizzling level ever but it sure is a source of anxiety and an epidome of love and hate. It's the only level that can make you taste the pain of ending a life because of plain natural instincts (against my existence, then must be destroyed) and moreover it's one of the few levels in the history of gaming that can make you have emotions for/against a non-material (one other is the level where we are escorted by the Weighted Companion Cube). Ladies and Gentlemen, and such: Portal, GLaDOS http://qntm.org/files/hl/glados.jpgI thought that was a really freakin' boring boss fight maybe I have to play it again.

I hate WoW. Okay, so I haven't played it. But I've played games like it and hated them. I get bored of things very quick. What I don't like about it, is the way it makes my friends boring

wtf. I have the demo downloaded, and the full game is starting the download from scratch. The demo link asks me to buy it. Way to waste my internet bandwidth, Steam

Ah crap. Do I get the Steam pack for $40 or get UT3 and any others off GOG... I do want UT2004 but I want UT3 slightly more... and I already have UT GOTY... so confused. My brain says "Get the pack from Steam!", my heart says "Get UT04 from GOG!" my bowels say "leave me out of this one man" and my wallet says "LEAVE ME ALONE"

I do! You're thinking of Odell Down Under, right? I loved that game so much as a kid, but I can't find my copy of it anymore so it may just be nostalgia. You're right, though, it was something special. Anyway, here's the wikipedia article on it, hope this helps, yes? Oh man! Thats totally it! Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure this out for years now! Now begins my quest to try and track down a copy to see if its really as good as I remember it being. EDIT: I found it, if anyone is interested you can download it here: http://takegame.com/arcade/htm/odell.htmnow lets just see if I can get it to run... Oh my god! I remember that! we only ever had the shareware version iirc. Man, downloading it now. I never managed to get it running successfully, so if you get it running let me know. The version I found was totally incompatible with vista, it hinted at XP compatibility, but my XP machine died a month back, so I'm still waiting for a chance to relive my childhood experiences. Definitely works on my XP machine, can't say if it works on Vista though. Man, it's exactly as I remember. haha, love it.

I'm pretty sure that Mr. Robot and Starscape by Moonpod have boxed versions, though they are basically just DVD cases rather than full-on boxes. Also the Sam and Max and Strong Bad games from Telltale Games can be purchased in DVD cases if you buy the whole season (and I think they include some extras too?). Although I guess one could argue those are not really "indie" developers... but they certainly aren't big game companies.
I bought the Sam & Max one but it's just a box that has the DVD case inside it it does have a printed manual thankfully.

I'm so indie I shouldn't even be on this forum. I should be making games that no one except me(and maybe my mom :3) ever gets to play.
I'm so indie even my mum won't play my games.
Hence indier. Better call Mario, 'cause you just got ONE UPPED!I'm so indie, I don't get it

I'm getting pissed off with a couple of my friends playing goddamn WoW. six of us sitting around taking turns at Rock Band and one person's off in another room power levelling.
Games like Mario Kart, however dull I find them, are great for playing with non-gamers.

THIS? OR FAR CRY 2? can't decide.... CAN'T DECIDE!! BRAIN ANEURYSM! The things I loved most about FO1 and 2 were the setting and grim story. And the fact that you can kick a rat in the crotch, or shoot a super mutant in the eye with a shotgun. Although the last point is no longer applicable the first two are. I can't wait! And I finally have a rig that can play it!
