In this hypothetical plum replicating world, what reason is there not to let someone replicate your plum if you'll still have your plum at the end?
Because someone had to go and get the plum in the first place! If everyone just replicated it, sure the first person still has their plum, but they took a lot of time off to go and get that plum. They've fed thousands of people with the work they've done to get this plum, and they get nothing in return. This wouldn't be so bad but the costs of getting a plum are far more than the return of eating one!

I half finished a shooter in under two hours for the Glorious Trainwreck's Klik of the Month Klub. In here it is, play the other ones while you are there it's good publicity for the site.
That's very impressive o.o I just finished a game for a Poppenkast 3hr contest, but I definitely needed that third hour. I can't seem to find where you download your game or anything though. got a direct link?

I sadly didn't get to do a lot of things that I wanted to do with the game I just made (Super Sniper), but I am quite proud of the quality given the time limit.

Having to get up at 5 or 5.30 in the morning cured my fucked up sleep pattern. I can recommend it.
ugh that's got me as well  Tired I just can't stand this sleeping pattern because I am not a morning person. Darn work. Darn it to heck!

What makes it worse is that on weekends I usually end up getting back home at 3-4 AM so my weekends are completely different to weekdays and it screws me up pretty bad.

gotta say thank goodness for coffee

Heli Attack 2

http://www.miniclip.com/games/heli-attack-2/en/

Although there is a Heli Attack 3 (and presumably a Heli Attack, but I have never found it) I have found that the second is overall more fun, although perhaps this is nostalgia on my part as the second has been around for a fairly long time. Heli Attack 2 and N were my Mac-friendly saviours in my high school information technology class.

The controls are similar to that of Abuse where the arrow keys control your movement like a regular platform game while you aim with the mouse cursor. A bullet-time slow motion is activated by holding Shift and is useful for getting a steady aim, while Control activates a super jump when you are on the ground. End changes weapon. The controls can be changed on the main menu.

The super jump seemed useless to me until I found out that if you kill a 'copter while you are in the air above it you get a small amount of ammo for a random weapon. This is an extremely important tactic as having a wide range of weapons at any time is crucial to survival.

One of the main things that struck me was the presentation - it looks and feels more like a good Game Maker game than a flash-made game. It is smooth, responsive and glitchless and has some good, if a little under-animated graphics that remind me of Metal Slug.

Overall it's a simple and fun game which can get a bit repetitive, but if you like platform shooter games and high scores, you'll probably like Heli Attack 2.

Heli Attack 3 may be worth a look at as well if you prefer more structure in your platform games - in my opinion the additions overcomplicate a winning formula but it's definitely worth a look at if you find the first (or second in this case) too repetitive.

my god, at my work they are using that code folding shit and because there is NO documentation about any of the code (and comments are very, vary scarce) and it is a large complex project it is very hard to follow.

now, combine that with the fact that ctrl+f does NOT search within closed fold things.... holy SHIT I am having some trouble! Tired

...I felt the pre-rendered 3D style, while of high quality, lacked much in personality or design.
I gotta agree to disagree with you there  Grin the game has flying alien foot monsters, flying mausoleums and giant beer cube bosses. It's got more personality than most shmups by far.  Gentleman
