- Prototype game ideas first, then develop them further.
- Placeholders are fine. You don't need state-of-the-art assets to work with from grounds up. In fact, they are distracting.
- KISS. Keep It Simple, Stupid.
- Forget about that MMO. Seriously.
- Don't be afraid to fail. All is good experience.
- The above does not hold true for MMOs. They will break you into half.
Anything else? Should I emphasize the MMO part a bit more?
