Playing Sonic 3. I got to Launch Base Zone for the first time as Tails. Dear God those levels suck ass. I was trying to rush to the ending by taking out the last few bosses and kept dying. I'm sure that Robotnik with the hands was never in the Sonic 3 Knuckles version...

That Hard Corps tune is bangin'! Shame I've never played the game.
Yeah it is! It plays during the best shoot em up boss fight ever ever ever. It is a shame you've never played it. Hard Corps was the first game me and my little brother saw with cussing in it.

It depends where his knees and elbows land! I wonder how well he does if he starts to get winded, either he has really good conditioning or he gets the job done quick, it SEEEMS to be more of the latter then the former.
Well the fight with the backflip he had was 3 rounds. Speaking of which, I have it loaded and should be watching it right now.

That dude has some quick legs! Seems he knows when to send them high and get the knockout. That flip would've been more impressive if he hit it.
But I'm sure he would have been disqualified. I had to watch that highlight reel again. Zaromskis does have some quick legs.

Robo Blast is great, yes. Good multiplayer, too. Should give it a shot if game nights ever come back. (Hint. Bring game nights back.) Also. Fans are recreating Sonic 2 in HD, and are making progress, albeit at a laughably slow pace. You can help if you desire. They certainly seem to need it. Problems due to their being hilariously precise fanboys; on the other hand, hilariously precise fanboys tend to make accurate things. I heard a little bit about Sonic The Hedgehog 2 HD. I'll check out that link. And they better be hilarious precise or I'll put a hilarious precise foot up their ass if the project for my most influential game gets ruined. EDIT: Those guys are hilariously precise. :lol:EDIT @: Hearing those guys fuss over a title screen is awesome.

I've just given up on sonic games completely. I have the genesis ones on ROM (and on the original carts, but my genesis is fading... I had all of them though, sonic 1,2,3+k, 3D blast, spinball, and robotnik's mean bean machine, was missing knuckles chaotix and sonic CD cause they required an attachment). Anyway most of my childhood game memories involved sonic, and sonic 1 is the earliest game I can ever remember playing (always had to ask my dad to hook up the system to the TV when I wanted to play, it was a like a special event playing games). Anyway the level design and flow of the original sonic games is etched in my brain and none of the fan ones I've played have ever come close to matching the feeling of the originals, but it's hard to explain why. Something about the way the originals have tons of paths to the end of the level, but all of them are valid and do reach the end eventually (although some might be really hard to do). Landmarks in the levels by way of interesting or different platform / loop placement give you a good idea of where you are (sonic 2 especially, you could tell when you were high up in the level because there were more springs usually and stuff... dunno it's hard to explain). I played some romhacked versions of it where ya the levels looked like they should be fun, but there was a lot of copy and paste going on you could never tell where you were, and paths would converge back to the beginning of the level (where you'd proceed to make the same mistake again, since you don't really know where you were), enemies were placed badly, and some loops you'd have to hit with exactly the right momentum or you'd miss a jump or hit a snag in the ground and lose that momentum. I dunno, I didn't even think the GBA sonic games were that good either, and the DS one, while 'fun', really annoyed me how much focus they put on raw speed. The spin-dash was completely pointless because the boost button was faster, safer, and could let you run upside on the outside of curved surfaces. It was too fast. Old sonic used speed as a reward, and as a way to make levels feel bigger. The DS one? you die if you don't use the super boost thing. That and the music was way better when it was all 80s-style (i.e. before they decided to bring sonic into the 90s with the attitude and breakdancing and rap and rock stuff). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtLnieZewjwThat's the same way I feel. When I think "What is great level design?" Sonic 2 comes up every time.

Okay, I recently finished reading a manga called Monster, by Naoki Urasawa. It was easily my favorite manage ever. Some of the plot turns just blew me away.
I watch Monster every Monday on syfy (God that name sucks) A friend told me about it before it came on so I've never missed an episode. It's getting better and better and two more episodes come on tonight.

Castlevania Symphony Of The Night. I decided to replay the game yesterday with the luck code that skyrockets Alucard's luck stat and gives him a Lapiz whatchamiccallit but it brings down all of his other stats. Months ago on youtube, I was saying how SOTN replay value would go through the roof if it had a Hard mode and then a lady said that said luck code would be like that and she's right. So far I'm loving it. My favorite boss, Slogra/Gaibon kicked my ass. I was beating them up by summoning spirits but then they backed me up for a corner for a killing. Good times. And I got a few decent raw drops but was last completely fucked up by the giant chain and ball guy since his defense only let's me take away 1 HP and he murdered Alucard with one shot.
Oh and I plan on trying to find whereTF that infinite atomic bow is at the secret island on Beyond Oasis (Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection 360)
