On the other end the comments, as always bother me due to their way of thinking on how sonic should progress. No matter how I look at it a heavy number of then always scream: "sonic don't innovate(sp?) we hate change and we don't want you to get with the times and show that you can compete in the next-gen market. become stale and boring by doing the same thing over and over again!" In other words nostalgia will kill him in the long run either way, either from being too new(now) or being too much of the same(genesis). The problem with Sonic isn't that the series changed, it's that the series changed for the worse. The genesis Sonic games were high quality, imaginative, fun games , while modern Sonic games are generally low quality and not fun. People will generally prefer old fashioned style games that are fun and polished to modern games that are uncreative, unpolished, and poorly thought out. If Sega's modern Sonic games had the same level of quality as the old ones, most of the complaints wouldn't be there. No doubt there'd still be people who are nostalgic for the older stuff, like there is with Mario, but it's not the same thing at all. Yeah, I'd kill for a Sonic game that's even remotely as good as Sonic 2.

Interestingly, the Sonic Retro person is also respected by Sega:
Fed up with their annoying and poorly done ports of games, he did a remakes of Sonic CD in the Retro engine on the iPhone; his video got him attention from Sega itself, who IIRC want to use it (which was the point of the video, so that's nice).
Yeah, that's what I heard.

I've been getting into Grant Morrison's comics. His run on Animal Man is still one of my favorite collections of comics ever.
And All-Star Superman is the greatest Superman comic book of all time.

Now you got me curious...Unless you mean how the game was designed(sp?) I would like to hear your thoughts on this(sonic 2). Oh, definitely how the game is designed. Best levels ever created IMO and my biggest influence. Now if you meant story or whatever then I'd have to mention Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Dr. Robotnik tricking Knuckles into repeatedly trying to assassinate Sonic and Tails is just...well ingenious. :D

Is that gonna be a sequel to that new PoP game? Because I liked that one.
Nope. They are somehow going to bring Sands Of Time back... Oops, yeah, didn't see the thread already had two pages, my bad. No problem. You don't have to worry about douchebagness from my threads.

'Adult' in this context == porn, in that same way that 'adult movie' == porn. If you mean 'intelligent', please use that instead, because if you run around talking about 'adult games', I'm going to think it's porn.
I'd say thought provoking is a better word..erm words. Intelligent wouldn't get the point across. I mean I could go on forever about how ingeious Sonic The Hedgehgog 2 is but no one would call that game "adult" or "mature" or whatever.

TVTropes presents its readers with huge, unfiltered, disorganized lists of crap that could be informative or entertaining, but ultimately fail to be either.
More importantly, TVTropes readers descend to the point where they discuss a topic, and just name a trope with a hotlink to the trope as though a huge disorganized list of facts somehow constitutes a point of discussion.
Rant over.
For the Metroid Games, I particularly liked Metroid Prime 2, where the design was that your gear was stolen, and you had to fight the aliens using it against you. The alien that gives the high jump powerup keeps leaping on the high ledges, the speed ball alien rolls up and rams you, etc. It made it feel a lot more like I was taking the weapons back, rather than arbitrarily killing a boss and then getting an unrelated goodie.

Damn, that sounds pretty cool. It bet that's the closest we'll get to seeing a good 3D Mega Man game. :D Anyway, why hasn't anyone brought up Onimush 3 yet? I only watched it get played but I loved how you get to start out with most of the strongest weapons.
