342  Developer / Audio / Iji OST Remake #1 (Piano Preview) on: May 11, 2010, 06:22:52 AM
It's nothing atm.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xI_LVhEezI4

However I just wanted to show it and let you know that one of the styles we'll remake the Iji OST in will be based around this type of feeling. It may not suit in game playing, but it will be implementable to the game regardless. At the very least, it will be an enjoyable, calm listening throughout the entire OST.

I am not sure how effective this is going to be, since I haven't arranged a piano piece for any of the Iji pieces in a long time.. anyway, just a little preview of an impromptu take on one of the more well known Iji themes.

Enjoy!

Sorry for being a nab but is there an available link to this demo? If it's the video demo nevermind, I have watched all of them. I want to touch this game. With my fingers.

Meh, all the cool stuff happens outside of Ireland. *kicks stupid country* .. whats that? Guinness? .. Oh ok then, but just one!

What were you talking about? Honestly though I wish I could come over and grab some of those cookies. I'd love to come to this. Maybe a geographical reboot is in order for me.

Congrats on winning the Old Spice competition! You must be very chuffed about it all :D I know I would be.

Sorry I can't be of any more use than that, in the middle of exams, but I wanted to share my congrats! Also, your game looks excellent and I will play it as soon as I get the chance.

Yes there is, but I think Jason is literally too legit to quit. Or download a cracked MMF2.

Musicians get to sample and mashup old stuff all the time, why can't we?

This is true, I'd like to see more games with this concept in place. I really enjoyed this crossover!

I've played the game and I can guarantee it is brilliant, another example of Dan Remars great skill and creative ethic that allows his work to be so enjoyable.

I can't say much more about it, but the game is great.

Once there was an indie barnacle.
He was so indie that everyone died.
The End.
and now you must acquire a taste for

freeform jazz

Last freeform jazz gig I went to had a man screaming down a microphone and then through his trumpet. Not encouraging when you're doing a jazz music degree.

What you could do is have the alien take hat-like characteristics on based on who it jumps onto. Changing the texture of it every time it attaches to somebody. Might be a bit much to ask, but even changing the colour of the alien would be a good start if the idea of inter-changeable imagery for the alien upon each persons head is a bit over the top!

Will grab this after my exams, awesome!!

Indeed just because the idea has been developed before by somebody doesn't mean you're destined to literally copy the very fabric of that game. I'd like to see this be made. I'd def play/buy it.
353  Feedback / DevLogs / Re: "It sucks" (wip name) on: April 27, 2010, 03:13:24 PM
Very nice, however.. I was thinking the title of it could be something else like... "Sucks to be you" ?

Or even have a name of it like "Zoink: Sucks to be you" Zoink is generic and just an example, but yes. Love the idea! Brilliant art work, can't wait to see more.

Cool game man. Don't like sound effect you have for the rain, or droplets, it's really harsh, and instantly irritating. Personally I would try something with less attack, maybe even an actual water drop sound effect.

I thought that maybe the guy runs a little too fast, when i was trying to climb the small platforms i kept slipping off countless times. The jumping I kept messing up but I figured you jump then you move while at your highest point in the jump. Other than that, so far i really enjoy it!

ChevyRay was mentioning he uses a Knee-Chair.. looks great, and useful for avoiding slumping, I know some PC chairs can give that problem.

Also, looking forward to seeing more of this game Laura, I really love its look and sound, so sophisticated and polished. And of course, a great game to boot!

Probably doesn't want a high quality version of the video online yet. Looks good from what I saw, in fact all of it looks great. I like the idea, the quality of art, and the in game look from the vid-vid-vid. MOAR!

The model renders do look great, but as muku made clear, it would be appreciated by the community to see some effort to at least introduce yourself before embarking on showing us your work.

Otherwise, I look forward to seeing more!

OH yes, i heard about that problem man. A recent update fixed it. Somebody had mentioned to me that they kept playing the iji medley and crashing on the final hit lol.

POWER.
