Man, regarding libraries - I wish more libraries would have a tutorial like "make a simple shmup or other game with this library so you know how to use it in most situations! woo!".

@lemming Check out Display Lists, they should speed it up: http://www.lighthouse3d.com/opengl/displaylists/source.php3?1

@konjak: Same here.

Also, you can save at any point and the music is awesome.

Co-op is amazing.

Decipher, who has an account in here, also does scene stuff. He's worked on a couple, including Caret (no time to find a link).

Maybe if he stopped working 24/7 he could drop by and suggest some of his favorites. Smiley

Here's a REALLY cool one he did: http://thygrion.untergrund.net/prod09.htm

A "realtime raymarcher" apparently.

My website is there! Woo!

I bet you'll benefit far more from Computer Science, really. If you don't end up in games, you'll have the benefit of being able to work in other programming related fields.

POWDER isn't really a port, I'd say - it's made for the DS and GBA.

I think I wouldn't even enjoy the good 3D Sonics.

What good 3D Sonics?
You haven't played Sonic Adventures 1 and 2?
Wink

Yes.

They suck.

I noticed that the pacing slows down considerable once you reach the Huh?Huh?? level of LAW.

Note: Increase lightness of text on hyperduck website, please. Hard to read without highlighting it.

PMD is awesome, DO NOT SKIP IT

No actually PMD is awful and if you find a cart you should throw it off a bridge or similar structure.

419  Developer / Creative / Re: Coder/designer looking for an artist: How do I find that "special someone"? on: November 11, 2009, 02:35:41 PM
Give up, you won't find anyone. The world of programmers finding artists is a harsh, cruel and failure-ridden world.

Unfortunately I can only agree with this Sad.

I've been doing pretty well so far. I've only made graphics for one of my games.

its system really logically laid out and straightforward.
