That needs to be made.

Working on that mockup. In my mind it's a bit more elaborate than it probably should be, but I'll be done eventually. Mostly cause it's all original art. o.o; Plus, life's been a bit hectic as of late.

Ok... maybe these options are just wishfull thinking and at the end I will have to resort with more classic options , but at least I can try..

And trying is enough.

Zangief scares me. Plus I never liked his sluggish play style.

Gonna try that soon.

Also, I voted for TA and Tribes, but I'm not sure about playing Tribes anymore. Playing with anyone outside South America means at the very least 200 ping, and for precise fire that's shit.

Count me out for that one.

EDIT: Tried some Armagetron. Most servers wouldn't let me get in, needed an upgrade or something. In those who did I was a bit noobish. It's a neat game, but I hate to play games online that require split-second timing when you have lag.

From a graphical designer point of view, that teaser is godly.

It's doubtful that the game will have that artistic style. But if it did, oh boy.

That horror banner mockup looks seriously awesome.

in my game, you play as a guy who has to decides wether his best friend lives, or dies.

and his best friend is a talking pie.

Can you choose to eat him?

I don't think you got it.

He did not ask just about games that have an interesting style, he asked about games that try to incorporate an artistic movement into themselves. You know, like cubism.

Suddenly the giant joystick removes his sunglasses, and behind them there were two large TV sets that flicker to life, revealing an abomination of an image.

In the screen, Derek Yu looks at you with large crazed asian eyes, grinning maniacally, wearing a fez and screaming at you with a horrible high-pitched voice: "HELLOOO, MANBABY!!!"

I remember something about them paying the game creators for the right to give it away.
9692  Community / B-Games / Re: B-Game Competition: Voting! on: October 16, 2007, 04:01:49 AM
Well, at least someone voted for mine, whoever that was.

I'll be honest, I'm not really sure about the results (not because of my game, it was very shitte, b-game or not). Sure Cottage was fun, but I'm not sure it was the best representation of a b-game (a bit too polished and I played 2 flash games with the same theme and similar mechanics, like, the last week alone). Though, of course, god only knows what a b-game is supposed to be in the first place. I just think people voted more for the actual best 'games' instead of the best 'b-games'.

Well, congratulation anyway Haowan. You'd better be making some proper games from now on. I'll be watching you. With my eyes. As you sleep.

If I was to pick one between the three top voted (more like four since Barnacle tied) , though, I'd have gone with Mondo Medicals in a heartbeat. Gunlimb a close second.

Just be sure not to expect action. Of any sort. The game's much more about contemplation and puzzle solving than anything else. And yes, it's pretty much a slideshow most of the time, but it's a damn fine slideshow.

Pyst looks pretty amusing.

Oh, I remember Myst. That's one game unlike any other of its time, even if the software it was built on was very primitive.

You want hard? Play Riven. Play it for a week and watch your hair disappear, your sleep go out the window, food and water become secondary and all life being drained out of you by those accursed islands!

I could look at an puzzle/exploration game in the face, once.

Though it still looked beautiful.

Tis fun for a bit.

How does a katana have ammo? Does it run on something?

...is it a chainsaw-katana? That runs of fuel?

Is it me or that dude tends to maybe read a bit too much into things?

Oh well, the game still looks awesome.
