Hm, is there a runtime I need to install? I get "This application has failed to start because MSVCR70D.dll was not found."

Visual C? I have that installed already...? Well, VC++ 2005 Express.

:D

I can't disobey a direct order, unfortunately, so you'll all have to be subjected to this game come Sept. 13th!

Drunken Naked Oliver Reed wasn't too hard to find, weirdly enough.

DO NOT USE

JCONSERV

FOR YOUR FORUM

seriously, 50% of the time I cannot even get a signal to that place. Our forum's on there though and we've made a few too many posts to change right now. I will keep mentioning it though, google groups is one I hadn't thought of (even though we've used google docs a little). Cheers!

I think they're making loads more sales due to this, as well. Loads of people on the net saying "Wow, the demo actually runs ok. I can play this. I have pre-ordered." Very nice.

Could be the AI that's causing that frame rate drop, I noticed a drop in the demo when two flying drones were fighting each other. Was fine after that and before in the same area. In which case moving your graphics settings down a few notches probably won't help all that much Sad

Zombies... and a cottage!

It's actually the artist's game idea and I've appropriated it somewhat. Also the artist hasn't provided any art yet and may not do so at all, we'll have to see.

You're in a cottage and you have to keep the doom from coming in by barricading the exits and defending them. At the moment I'm thinking you have a choice - break the furniture up, in which case you can use the planks to fortify the exits, and the furniture contains ammo, or move the furniture for a proper blockade, but this sacrifices the ammo inside as once the undead get through you'll have to kill 'em before you can get to that ammo.

Might work, it might not.

Crap, this sounds similar if not identical to my entry.

Also, the art is awesome Sad

Disheartening but I shall not give up!

I've downloaded the demo twice now and both times (bit torrent and from some http mirror) it was corrupt Sad
2257  Player / General / Re: IT'S FINALLY OUT! on: August 21, 2007, 12:41:12 AM
Yes, this one does have English, I think it's the next one that is the forst one not to contain such a translation. Next one also has a different protagonist!
2258  Player / General / Re: IT'S FINALLY OUT! on: August 20, 2007, 03:24:36 PM
I *really* enjoyed the first game. My wife played through the second but I had to return it before I could play it. I expect we will be importing this now. Grin

There are the total conversion mods where people port, say, an older version of Quake to a newer version of Quake. Quake 2 in the Quake 3 engine and so forth.
2260  Player / General / Re: Faithful sequels/remakes (oldgen to nexgen)? on: August 20, 2007, 12:20:33 PM
Actually, having spoken with you, Arne, I feel like you're not going to find any of the games suggested thus far to be faithful (by your criteria). Shocked

I had that feeling  Sad
