I really do think ads should be provided in an enjoyable or ignorable format. Although I think the idea of avoiding all ads because I DON'T OWE NOBODY NOTHING is totally asinine, I can't blame people for blocking obtrusive/loud/slow-loading crap. I usually just avoid sites that do that to me, because I always seem to be able to find similar material elsewhere, but I can see if you had a really slow internet connection some of the stuff that just mildly annoys me or I don't notice (with my mighty 768k!) could be intolerable.

I don't know why people are making adblock users out to be some kind of obsessive anti-capitalist "arsefaces." You don't need to "rigorously" block all ads on all sites. Adblock allows you to download a pre-built configuration list that has the filters already set up for you.
Why do you hate America?

I've never really had a problem with ads, unless it makes noise. Those are annoying. As for Google Chrome, I've been using it for the past several months The only issue I have with it is that it tracks ALL your history, but I shouldn't be concerned with that really. It helps in finding a page that you don't remember where exactly it was or something like that. Either way, it just feels less clunky then both IE and Firefox Open an incognito window if you are doing something that shouldn't be tracked. Whatever that might be.

I never use add-ons, so on my PC, Chrome is MY BOY. Sadly, no Mac version yet.
As for ad-blocking, I'd say that I don't feel strongly about it, but I do know people need the ad revenue. Honestly if the ads are horrible enough to keep me away from a site, I just don't go there. I've never been able to replace a horrible-ad site with one that uses no ads or normal ads.

I'm surprised by the amount of very positive response!
If it makes you feel any better, I will lie and say it sucks. That poor cop-chick. She must go through so much aspirin.

I also really liked the up-and-down motion- it was pretty easy for me, although I played on a keyboard.
I actually had no problem on the keyboard, but I had trouble keeping track of my ASD and which was what (I always do), so I busted out ye olde gamepad and then I couldn't do the wrench stuff very well suddenly. I do see the preference for not having it always be the same button press, though. It reminds me of Ratchet & Clank where you walk in a circle with your wrench as is. Maybe if you got more "oomph" out of each up/down toggle or something.

It was neat, but it stuttered on my PC and I was not a fan of the way the wrench mechanic worked (I like the idea, but it was too much of a pain in implementation).

But seriously, I don't see how 3d graphics age any worse than 2D ones. If you take some of the very first of either, they don't age well, and then the 2nd and 3rd generations age much better. Also take into account that at least for PC game if you blow the resolution up to 1920x1200 on an old game it might show flaws that were never visible at 640x480 or so. This is a flaw 2D games usually don't have.

I walked into a wall (top of some stairs, behind a cacodaemon) and it locked up. Had to kill the app.
But it was neat until then.
I was truly terrified of that ghost, man.

It's also probably a lot easier to write the game itself in 2D, beyond the tools being available. There's a lot less that can go wrong in terms of planning and testing. Also you just need normal art skills and not 3d modelling.

I was kidding. I'm pretty sure he's not actually the same person. I'm just bored and want to poke this thread with a stick and make it do things.
