Colors on those rocks definitely need to be tweaked, and I think I'll tone down a lot of the other tiles like the bricks and pipes so they aren't so bright.

EDIT Since the current colors are terrible, I've tried out three other options and posted them in the OP.  Vote for your favorite because I'm horrible at making decisions on my own.

Rocks now look 100% more rock-like.
