8-3-11 thing? What's that?
And no... It was just made to fuck with anyone who randomly found it.
Dude, you should definitely continue with it at some point. It's got tons of potential for an ARG, or even just an elaborate creepypasta. I just saw a thread on /x/ pop up about it, and people are already speculating that it has something to do with 8-3-11 (look it up if you haven't heard of it)

This will ruin it for you, but here is a spoiler: I made it.
Ohhhh, so it has no connection to the whole 8-3-11 thing. Are you planning to do any bigger things with it?

Okay, so I've started to see some fragments of things on that website you linked me to, phubans. A key? A smile? What does that video mean?
I sincerely hope there's some deeper story behind this, because I don't want to be disappointed if it leads nowhere.

Clicked on it. Looks like a very innocent looking website. Judging by the fact that innocence turns into complete mortifying horror within minutes in a creepypasta, I'll save that for the morning, but thank you!

You did the Grifter? Holy shit, man, you're like, a legend.
I was actually thinking about making a semi-ARG creepypasta about a game developer and an unfinished game that managed to get fucked up the ass by some paranormal entity.

Hey, have you considered using Kickstarter.com to get some funding for this? I noticed on your blog page it said you were broke, and I think your game could definitely benefit from a little bit of money.

Well, at least I have Ace Attorney Investigations 2, the Professor Layton / Phoenix Wright game, and Monster Hunter to tide me over!

Holy crap. This looks simply spectacular. Sort of reminds me of a 3-D Braid, but it does some much more stylistically and gameplay-wise to separate it from the crowd. You have a real gem on your hands, and I'm eager to see where this'll go.
EDIT: Looking at more of the footage, my jaw is lowering further and further. You've really innovated on the time-controlling genre in ways I'd never even thought of before.

Ooooh, forgot to mention one of the most obvious games out there for this sort of genre. I went in expecting an innocent RPG. I came out with insomnia for the next 3 days.

Yeah, I'd definitely consider Eversion a "creepypasta" game. It really fucked with my mind, especially at the end.
And that project looks spectacular, Phubans! You should make a devlog entry for it if you ever decide to pick it up again.

There are loads and loads of creepypastas out there about video games, but I'm just curious: how many playable creepypastas actually exist? It seems like the type of thing that would make for an incredibly horrifying experience, if done right, seeing as the game would actually drag you into the story, rather than having you observe it. There's only one I know of currently, and that's FiM: Story of the Blanks. If you guys know about any other creepypasta-esque games, please post them here. I need my fix.

Even though you can die, I think I wouldn't quite call it a game. It does have some simple puzzles and action sequences, the entirety of the thing is to set you up for a very unexpected reversal of expectations. It is very effective, really.
Once you complete it, though, there's nothing left to go back and play it again. It's a step above interactive art, maybe more of a simulation? It pretty effectively simulates a frightful experience.
I think you meant to post that in the Catherine thread?
