Thanks! Good feedback. I wanted to make it look like a space explosion, where things would seem to drift off forever after the initial explosion, but I think it would make the game feel more intense if the explosion was quicker.

I like that you put the prototype to play on the site, good call!
That is what I LOVE about unity. It is very easy to build for the web to make it very quick and easy for somebody to play something. Thanks! I'm fairly happy with my progress. Smiley

The characters face looks a little bit long to me. Compared to the tree the character seems a bit too cartoony. Probably just me though. Everything looks good! Your editor is exquisite.

Congrats on the kick starter! If DayZ and TF2 have proven that modding is important then I'm not sure what has. So I love your commitment to mod support. It sounds like you've really created a robust engine with mod support in mind the whole way, which is very impressive and quite the feat!

My Word! How have I not thought of gravity yet. I might play around with that actually. But right now there is no pull of gravity anywhere.

Looks interesting.

Unreal Planet is a 2D platform shooter inspired by games like Motherload, Spelunky, and Cave Story.
Quite the inspiration!

Also I would consider lowering the contrast on the background. To me it competes too much with the foreground. Smiley

yes or no? I'm leaning more towards no myself. has a bit of the right feel but not quite there.

(also lol vague name)

Is this some music for the game?? That sounds ridiculously awesome to me. I'm not sure what mood you're going for but the sound perfectly fits the art imo.

Spend most of the day working on asteroid functionality. Ran into a lot of problems but sorted them all out in the end. The asteroids move by themselves and are uncontrollable by the player but can still hold people. Should be an interesting way to create some windows of opportunity in the levels.

Those web physics are amazing. They look incredibly satisfying to use.  My Word!

Planet explosion effect. Looks pretty shitty imo. I haven’t worked with Shuriken (Unities particle effect system) until today so it is not a bad start. If you have any critiques I would love to hear. Smiley

Here you see the new fancy level transition I implemented tonight. Also the first two levels can be observed.

That art is very intriguing in an awesome way. I would really love to see it in motion. Found trailer. Smiley Reminded me a lot of Amanita games.
