Slumps and halts can come as a result form all kinds of things. Life stress, self-doubt, the urge to work on a new project
This gets me every freaking time. Not only that, but I started my first game as an engine, which I've been told many times is a mistake. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should keep going with my engine which I feel is fairly near completion, or move to a much smaller game project just to get some money rolling. Plagues me a fair amount too. http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=18460.0

I'm going to start a section about game design things if there isn't already. I need to think it out more. The sort of stuff like what makes a good enemy, story writing tips, presentation of the game, etc.

School. My spring break was forever early (last week, before anyone else), and now I've been shoved a workload equal to that of the 2 weeks before spring break (during midterms). Also: why are we still doing group projects in college? I'm not 12. (And in this particular history class, our 3 grades are midterm, group project, final)
Still laughing at the amount of math courses CS requires. I really hate math and constantly struggle with it, but it ain't life if there are no struggles.
hug.bmp School is awful. :<

Thanks for your post. I don't know how hard it will be to put story in a not-so-story driven game, but I'll try to deliver it. The progress on my game is about 10%; I have all the design done, now to just programmerize, artificitate, and composurify this puppy up.

Today I created a movement, depth handling (for a 3/4s view game), and collisions engine. I also put a little timer/clock in it.

I confess I'm not overly familiar with the Gamecube, but the SNES and N64 have very little in the way of throwaway shovelware, aside from a few that slipped through the cracks like the infamous Superman 64.
The GCN never had a problem with shovelware, IIRC.

Is this seriously taking place?
Don't try to play the "confused outsider expressing disgust" role, I've tried it and the only thing it does is everyone bitches at you and Blademasterbobo makes snide references to "topic-shitters" several pages later. Fuck everything. lolgoodpoint fagits

A Game Maker 7 Portable would be nice! If I have to use a crack to use the software I bought on the go, then by Jove, I will! Not that it's mentioned, I wonder if I could copy a part of my registry involving GM7 Pro and storing it on my flash drive.
This, I would love that.

The Nintendo Seal of Quality has completely lost its meaning in recent years or otherwise the Wii's game library would look VERY different.
Pretty much why I brought this up. I could make a game in half an hour better than most of the Wii's titles. With my feet.
