I still don't know what that means.
Been trying Ragnarok Online 2 for around 5 hours. It's extremely grindy, and I'm not sure if I should stick with it to see if it gets good. I like the crafting system, so if it's anything like WoW's, I'll probably stick with it a little longer. Combat is a lot simpler though, it's very easy to come up with a build from the start. The Khara(achievements/title) system is addicting too.

Most stats have diminishing returns past level 40 or 50
Same goes with strength. The Demon's Greataxe build I posted does more damage at less than half the strength.
Anyways, stats are purely cosmetic. Since you're at NG+, you can probably see that you have to rely much more on skill. Only exception is the Four Kings where you need to be doing a lot of damage quickly.

You can have extremely high defence, while still be at least midrolling. Imagine this, but with lower VIT and slightly lighter armour at lower levels. http://mmdks.com/22ieThis one is even weaker, but at NG, still managed to take almost no damage. http://mmdks.com/1zn8They're mostly PvE builds though, but even in PvP, fatrolling is even more of a hindrance.

iirc the micro is the only GBA that doesn't run GB/C games.
link's awakening is my fave zelda.
second Third. Something about the Ballad of the Wind Fish get me every time. Fourth. And thanks for the album link Mono - I'm enjoying it a lot so far. Fifth. Got up to 31 regular cubes and 17 anticubes, with all artifacts. Figured out how the numbers and letters worked, but was hinted by a friend with the letters. that room that reveals it is seriously clever. Is that the "insane side"? Trying a little Torchlight 2. Game is easymodo for ranged units, especially engineer+cannon, even on its hardest difficulty. Champions and bosses just take a long time to get down. Not sure how you could do highest difficulty with melee unless you did optional things much later

Personal favourites on the GBA are Link's Awakening DX, Golden Sun series, Wario Land 2-4 and the Castlevania games.
Picked up Fez, and I'm loving all the exploration and the puzzles.
Antichamber is pretty sweet too with all the little lessons and ways the game tricks you.

Finally up to the "Yourself" level, hoping that's the last. Anyone know what the last 2 inventory items are/how to get them? I've ran each stage like 10x each except Hell. Please tell me it's not in Hell EDIT: Nevermind, it's not in Hell, also running the last stage gives you just a little less than 1billion candies each, woah Also Anodyne is so good, dat ambience, surrealism, difficulty and exploration. Gonna attempt the 3 hour achievement later

Also, how is Darksiders like Zelda? I'm not being confrontational here, just never played a LoZ game in my life. So maybe a better question would be: what makes a game zelda-like?
I was referring to its dungeons mostly, the way you explore them and the way you get dungeon items to open up new areas of the dungeon and overworld, but now that Tanner mentions it, the overworld structure is similar. The difference is how areas in Darksiders are mostly a gauntlet, just fighting mobs of creatures at a time

Finally built my own PC and played so many games recently:
Deus Ex: HR - Got past the first mission (where you have to save that hostage female and get to exploring the city). The game doesn't hook me as much as the original did, but maybe because there's so much fluff when exploring the city. It's hard to transition from pure stealth
Skyrim - Interesting, but too big for my tastes. Kinda similar to Dark Souls except more complexity with items and random inventory objects around. Feels like something I might look more into
Thief: Deadly Shadows - unlike Deus Ex, this is a stealth game that's truly addicting and more rewarding in terms of missions especially playing each one on its hardest difficulty as it forces you to explore more and stealth better. A lot of optional things to do
Tomb Raider: Legend - short dungeon-exploring game. It shines with its collectibles, especially the mansion, its boss battles and all the little puzzles in each dungeon/tomb
Portal 2 - really loved how there was a "second" game to this game. I thought it was already big enough before that. All the gel elements were fun to play around with and their associated puzzles have been the best in the series so far
Dark Souls - dis game right here. Very few games with PvP have an addicting PvE and this is just one of them. So many ways to play. My second run was a strength build revolving around the Demon Great Hammer, but I'm thinking of trying a Demon Great Axe or Soul level 1 build next run and continue with it to NG+
Darksiders - ARPG similar to Dark Souls. Its dungeons are like zelda only better, on its hardest mode has some very challenging mob fights and all the upgrades and dungeon treasures you get are pretty unique. Has some fun boss fights too and challenges like killing 160 enemies while on the flying thing, and killing more angels than Ulthane. Would highly recommend
The rest I can't comment too much on

I think what Cave Story takes from the genre is sufficient for it to be on the list. There are a few other titles on the list that one could argue for/against as to whether it fits the/your/my definition.
It's linear stages connected by a hub where you get upgrades relating to the story. It's about as metroidvania as Jumper 3. You don't get the same joy of drawing or remembering a map, noting down multiple instances where you might need an upgrade you don't even know exists, and then the joy of finally getting an upgrade, and doing all that mass exploration with all the new paths open up.

Yeah I get ticked when people think Cave Story is a metroidvania. It's an explorative platformer, but it's quite linear in concept, and there are no real obstacles requiring a character-improving upgrade, unless you count the jetpack-machinegun which is optional
Also, those 2 games look pretty sweet

League of Evil for Android looks graphically smooth too, the way you spin when double jumping, and the way you kick forwards when attacking

I'm asking myself what should I do to make the jump graphically smooth and precise ...
Graphical-wise, when you look at Super Meat Boy, look at the way the MC interacts with the walls when about to wall jump or sliding down them, and the way he lands from a fall. It looks graphically smooth because of the way the MC squeezes and stretches back out
