For some reason, even though the sounds were totally different, and the game doesn't start with a descent on a dead moon/planet AFAIK, it reminded me of this:

A hot dog, minus the hot dog with extra bun
No substitutions

Love it. Is it intended to look like his hands are glowing? I think you can exaggerate the effect a bit more on the right one (left from our point of view).

I'm also a bit confused about the position of the face of the monster - I know it's supposed to be in front of the torso, but for some reason it also feels like it is behind the torso? I think it's the way those two elements overlap that causes this "impossible triangle" like confusion in my perception.

Oh that is just evil. I like it.

BTW, have you seen this comic yet? Seems... relevant to what you are trying to do with this game.

I only now notice that connections remain when pushing shuffle - that's new behaviour right? You do realise you've made it even easier to do shuffle scumming this way?

Yeah, too bad the whiskers are too subtle to depict at that scale. Looks lovely though!

Digging the overshoot on the shuffle and the bounce on the falling atoms.

BTW, since you guys are using flatshading this article might be particularly relevant for you (ignore the baity "sexist" headline - the science is interesting).

Nice, but the black lines on the cannons and wheels don't match the linework of rest of the picture.

Yes, that is what this animation is made for!

@wearepinata: very nice. Does the dude on the left ever shout "BULLSHIT MR HAN MAN!"?

Shooting an arrow sets it on fire, and it in turn can set trees on fire...

You need to update the title to attract the lurkers. Also, I'm finally gonna take the plunge and dive in to this...

I think white lines around black outlines are pushing it a bit though.

Looking forward to it! I appreciate that you'll put some effort into addressing the topic Smiley

> Weaker versions of laser weapons are yellow, stronger ones are green.

Just a heads-up, as a representative of the 5 to 10% of your male audience that is colourblind, this is not distinguishable for us based on colour alone. Making the yellow darker to reflect it being weaker wouldn't help, because especially "dark yellow" is often confused for green Durr...?.

I don't think it's worth the hassle of finding a fix for though - it's a tiny strategic disadvantage when fighting unknown enemies I suppose, but nothing game breaking.

C and E for the shields for me.

Seconding B or F - B has the best eyes, but I really dig the African mask look of F. The problem with F though is that could just as easily be a regular dude with a 100 eyes mask.

Maybe a remix of both - the mask of F but with open eyes (that are animated?) and perhaps a little variety of size and shape - would work best?
