I have imagined a beat 'em up like that, only to let the player choose what abilities and moveset can do his character. In that case, i have only think in a way to evade the overpowered characters: making all the moves with a "compatibility system". You will do the moveset with some characteristics in it, right? So why not to use that data to limit the random system in the moveset selection? An example is like to not let the character to have to much powerful moves with them, or at least with "penalty" to use them. And could be useful to your infinite and unfair combo. Choosing the compatible moves could saves some problems with it. I like the "Combo escape possibilities" and "Bursts" ideas thought. Like a "rapid recovery move" like BlazBlue or "Combo Breaker" from Killer Instinct. Of course, those moves must be in all the characters. I hope is useful to you. Success with your game!

New pixel art. I was inspired by the "S" word and thinking in " No Face" from the anime movie " Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi" and " Arakune" from " BlazBlue" saga. This time i have tried to apply what @subliminal said to me, so please check it.  Be the judges. Thanks.

So that's means that my problem with the palette is because there's no enough contrast between colors...hmmm...  You are right. It's difficult and tedious to distinguish the details in the sprites. I will keep the advice you gave me. Thanks

Today i wanted to do a weapon, so i made one. This time i put the palette with them.  Until now i made 3 sprites, one a day, and i found some problems in all of them: - I have problem with the palette, when i have to choose the number and contrast between them. Did you choose them before you make the sprite or when you need more colors in it?
- Yesterday and today i tried to give them some motion, like they are in move (not an animation btw), but i couldn't do it after some tries. Can anyone give me some advice or guide in it?
I need some help to improve these areas. And i know that i have to keep practicing to get better. "The practice makes the master" said the sentence. Be the jugdes. Thanks.

 The main character for my game. Hows she look? Is she smiling? Because i swear i see a "Kolynos smile" in her face. But it's very, very difficult to see... Her clothes needs some shadows, especially in her shoulders...except that "scarf" she have there is actually the shadow.....and the hair...well, for me, i would put her some details in there... Apart from that, i think it's ok.

Ok, here i am again. This is another sprite i made recently thinking in a big car. But it's too small to see the details. So now i will post 2 images at the same time. One in his original size and the other one with 400% zoom.  Be the judges. Thanks.

It has passed 2 months since my last sprite was made (it was in Game Jam, very simple sprites for animation. I will post it later in here...) and more (i don't remember when...) since i post my "purple egg" in TIGSource. And the needs to get better in everything keeps getting stronger. But a creature named "Laziness" was blocking my path. So today, i take my shotgun, create a revolution and blow off his head to get rid of that. Now, here i am. Creating my thread about "improvising my art", to post everyday all the "Art" i will make, hoping that all of you make some critics about it (like some kind of duty until it transforms into an habit, before that bastard get resurrected again). Good or bad, i will read all of them, taking advices to be a better artist in pixel art and in drawing...yes, not only pixel. Even drawing will get related. That's why i call this topic "Art"  Anyway, too much typing. Let's get started. I make this sprite today, after i make some doodles and getting inspired by a oval and a stick together (lol, right now i imaged a lollipop.  Lollipop lollipop lula le lollipop  hahaha  ). And after some checks i finish it.  I'm waiting for your comments. Thanks. Oh! Btw, i use GIMP. Why? It's free
