Running odds on the compo! Here are my bets for the vote totals:

Sphere Psychosis: 2 votes
Everything else: 1 vote

Everybody else take a guess!

Sure thing, what programming languages do you work in?

This was made to be entered into THREE different competitions? All the Tim Langdell and Edge stuff, combined with the Sunman vaporware game, combined with apparently adult content to come in the future for that compo. Good job, I guess!  Beer!

My bad. Or Marmaduke's, I dunno.

Quickly coming up with a likely faulty opinion to get back on topic:

Uh, Rohrer has a right to make money doing whatever he wants, but I can understand people's anger given his vaguely holier-than-thou attitude.

You actually look a lot like me in that photo, and not so much anywhere else. I found it a bit creepy when I first showed up on these forums, I thought (wrongly) that I had a doppelganger or something.

Not to go monstrously off-topic or anything.

Isn't he kind of the subject of a TV show right now? He was kind of at the peak of his odd, odd popularity.

Bloody brilliant. Does anyone know if Synecdoche, New York is any good?

It's great. I would call it an impressionistic film if that makes any sense, and it has a lovely ending that will shake you a bit. Epileptic

- Ikiru, mostly great Kurosawa film
- 8 1/2 (Otto e mezzo), the most entertaining great film you may ever see
- Lawrence of Arabia, the second most entertaining great film you may ever see
- Allegro non troppo (I wrote its Wikipedia page linked there), what Fantasia should have been
- Anything by Stanley Kubrick, except maybe Spartacus and Eyes Wide Shut

I think those all follow the rules, and that's exactly my list of favorite films, in no particular order.

I just thought: We should pull a reverse Metroid for the ending. Since everyone's leaving on spaceships, show a bunch of pixelly chicks that fade into Metroid suits before they leave.

If the market demand is there, then sure!

It would be nice, I doubt that this project will really reach that level. Still, the procedurally-generated maps are fairly important.

Actually, I think that's how most commercial game pitches go:

Designer: "I've got a design idea! It's got tons of violence!"

Big Company Man: "Sound good, what exactly do you do?"

D: "I dunno."

BCM: "You're hired!"

I would love to get a programmer for my Dikes Save the World game.
