Holy shit tigsorcerers, when I clicked on this thread I did not expect 10 pages of Fez chatter.

My curiosity about how this game would have played will never be satisfied. Such is life.

Hey guys! I'm new to TIGSource, but some of you might know me as tehwexxl0rz from Pixelation. Smiley

Here's a self-portrait I'm working on:

Welcome! Everyone is encouraged to post in this thread upon arriving.

That is a pretty good likeness of me.

I tried to play this, but when I pressed the right arrow, the scene suddenly changed and I was in a lava pit.

I tried again with the window maximized but the character would not move from his starting position. The frame-rate was super low in both cases.

I am currently on Vista.

I like this. Not sure what kind of game it would be though.

Left-brain/right-brain dichotomy is a lie.

Survival Horror + Marine Biology

You discover a mysterious sunken tanker while doing ground-breaking research at the bottom of the Mariana trench and its contents are accidentally released. Suddenly you are under attack by zombie sea creatures! Can you make it back to the surface?

Marine Biology is not a genre but maybe it should be.

Yesss simulated genetics, I am all in favor of that experiment.

Didn't turn out having the same kind of walking effect that I wanted, but I didn't think it was too bad. Tongue

Spelling error? Pop culture reference? Intentionally thought-provoking pun?

Yes, modern female characters are much too emotionally threatening. I much prefer them in 8-bit where they were less demanding.

The more colors they have the more they remind me of my mother.

I also think there is something to be said for the fact that fans of paintings, for example, don't typically spend 60 hours looking at a specific painting before moving on to the next.

Interactibility/reward-system => more vivid memories and whatnot.

[insert pie-graph here]

Because their obsession with video games stems from a childhood where only kids with a Super Nintendo and that Jurassic Park game were cool.

They have since gotten that Jurassic Park game and want desperately to be a part of the fad, if only retroactively.

Unrelated, do you guys remember that Jurassic Park game on the SNES? Man that was so cool.

Mandatory: "Oh man this is just like an idea I had."

Very cool stuff, I look forward to playing it.

When I was much younger I had this fantasy of an rpg with beat-em-up segments or something akin to Street Fighter in place of traditional turn-based battles. Then I found out it's been done.

I fucking love Summon Night. One day I'd like to take a swing at an Action-RPG in that style.
