One bug that is still in v1.0 (though less common than in previous versions): if you jump off of a ledge but there's a ceiling right above you so you don't actually jump you can take fall damage from really small falls. Really annoying when that bug crops up.


Item idea: a backpack! It gives you an extra slot to hold items.
You might have noticed that the way it currently works, you basically have three item slots: bombs, rope, and misc. So it would just give you another misc. slot so that you could, for example, pick up a shotgun, press switch to empty your hands, and then carry the maiden around with your shotgun still in your backpack. It would have to be really rare/expensive, though, since it would be a huge advantage.

that's my fave way to rob the shop too! you can do it without the gloves actually:
lure the shopkeeper onto the spot where the item nearest the exit is. pick up an item, and run. jump just before you pass the enraging-the-shopkeeper-barrier, and then turn in midair. if you time it right, the shopkeeper will chase you out and you can jump on his head (shotgun pellets fall beneath you). grab his gun and leg it!

This way, the shopkeeper will appear at the next level's exit, but never again. no angry shopkeepers for you, pacifist : )

What I do is stand just in front of the shopkeeper, jump, and then immediately throw a bomb (using the shortcut key). The shopkeeper runs out just in time for you to land on his head so that you can grab his gun. The only tricky part is that the gun always lands among his wares so sometimes you accidentally pick up something other than the gun... and then you're in trouble.
This method almost always works!
