This look brilliant, do you not have a website or blog for people to link to though?

Player / Games / Wanted: Chaos Chronicles

Have you seen Chaos Chronicles? It's one of the few old school role playing games that is neither 100% independent nor funded by as of late fashionable crowd-funding services. Aspiring to be a successor of 80s classics it stood out with an original setting and the chosen gameplay mechanics which include turn based combat on a hex grid utilizing D&D 3.5e Open Game Content rules. Watch a trailer here. If all had gone well the game would be releasing within months, however, fears over stalling news were reinforced when one of the creators mentioned a legal issue between developers COREPLAY and publisher bitComposer Games as seen here. Details are scarce so there is no blame placed on anyone at this point, especially as the game is of essentially unknown quality, however promising it may have been. Still, a petition in favor of the product as has been intended and advertised up to this point runs on hopes for the best.

I'm curious, how does changing to third person (presumably from first person) allow you "to increase the awesome FX"? I would think a third person view doesn't have such an impact at best and makes it tougher at worst as it gives a wider view with more things on screen and you have to render an additional detailed spaceship for the player (with whatever damage effects on top), as opposed to just a cockpit and the more narrow view of the surroundings it gives. The only potential visual benefit that I can see is that with a third person view even when you're almost bumping into other objects the camera is still quite far from them so you can't see any flaws they may have as well as you would with the first person view (of course they can still get as close to your camera if they fly above or to the sides past your ship). What am I missing?

This looks pretty amazing, good thing you bumped it, congrats. Oh, you made Arvoesine too, I thought it looked a bit familiar somehow. That was great too. But you've clearly upped the ante since, with all those different items and larger scope

Neat, it makes me think of that old wireframe 3D Tetris where blocks fell inward the screen, like something they would have released alongside that. Well, it's exactly what you'd expect, 3D Asteroids from the cockpit POV.
The controls are weird outside keyboard & mouse, maybe let people reconfigure the axis (I like roll and pitch on left stick and yaw on right, aircraft style personally or at least yaw and pitch on any one stick FPS style).
