Question : Shall we start that over for 2013? I mean, going back to Musical Challenge I and given the experience is successful, doing that charity album again, the edition of 2013. That would be neat Just my thoughts. Yeah, let's just have that in mind and grab the winning entries after each contest. It will probably bring more prestige to the contest as I take it that people want to be on the compilation.

That's cool, but I'd love to get uncompressed files if at all possible, plus we need everyone's consent on this!
Well, getting hold of all these people might not be that easy and will probably take quite some time. I agree though!

I watched 2 Chan-wook Park movies in a row last night.
Beginning with Mr. Vengeance which is a hyper realistic take on a revenge story. A kidnapping that that goes wrong which causes the direction of the movie to switch around the half-time mark. The movie is fucking beautifully shot throughout, very intelligent visually. Out of the vengeance trilogy this movie has the most impactful violence, it uses it sparingly but to great effect.
The last movie I had not seen from the vengeance trilogy was Lady Vengeance. I think it was not nearly as visually brilliant as either Oldboy or Mr. Vengeance. It didn't feature much violence either. It's generally the weakest in the series but it paints some interesting moral dilemmas when it comes to taking justice in your own hands. It's a movie that pretty much plays out in the head of the main character and features a lot of symbolism and some of it I honestly did not grasp. I just had a problem with how the main plot felt put aside for a large portion of the movie, it felt too aimless at times even if most of the movie is about the main character calling in favors.

Frustration comes with any type of challenge, broken or well designed games. I wouldn't call the stop-and-aim necessarily crippling an otherwise complete control scheme. If that decision makes sense in the context of the game then that design choice is totally legit. The worst thing I know is making games within a genre without actually thinking about if the design makes any sense where story, design and mechanics are actively working against each other. That is friction. The game might not make any sense if you think about it, even less for people who aren't used to the tropes in gaming.

Just bought Civ V. That game is going to consume my life just like Warband did. Luckily I have a cold.

Just came home from my 5 day Christmas vacay. I finished Mario 3D Land and I am nearly done with Ocarina of Time, I am at the Shadow Temple atm. Ocarina is the second ever Zelda game I have played after Link's Awakening on the Game Boy.
