Burial - Rough Sleeper

Bought a 3DS today along with Mario 3D Land plus I downloaded Crashmo. This is only my second ever piece of Nintendo hardware since the GBC so I had an itch for it.

Mario 3D Land is fun but seemingly kind of short, I hope I don't finish it before I go away over the holiday. Crashmo is fucking hard! I can't spend to long with that game MY BRAIN HURTS (DOCTOR, DOCTOR)!

Anyways, I might just go pick up Ocarina of Time tomorrow already. That game I won't finish any time soon at least. It's just too bad that the 3DS don't have the grandest selection and I don't really see that it will gain more support from either Nintendo or third parties, but of course there is a huge back-catalogue of DS games.

The thing that really interests me is why these school shootings always happen in smaller towns that don't have high crime rates. If it were to be outer influences like games and media that cause these things to happen then it could happen anywhere. As I see it more than often it doesn't when it comes to school shootings. The setting is always so expected.

Disclaimer: this is based on absolutely nothing, and is just my guess.

In large towns, if you are an outsider it is easier to find other people who are like you, and thus find some sort of escape. In small towns, there less chance of this, creating a pressure cooker that is eventually going to blow.

I think that everyone in a society should feel bad about themselves when something like this happens. I also feel sorry for everyone involved. I feel sorry for all the kids, their parents and even for the gunman in a different way. It's a tragedy.
