Picked up a 660 Ti on Cyber Monday, just waiting for it to be shipped. How are you finding it in terms of performance.
To be exact I got the 660 Ti OC version and it cost about 418$. I have only tried Borderlands 2 which came with it and I also downloaded Planetside 2. Borderlands pretty much runs flawlessly at around 120 fps if I recall. Planetside however seems to be a much more CPU heavy game. When not that much shit is going on I get around 60-70 fps but then once you get into an enormous firefight with like 200 people it can drop to around 30-40. I haven't seen it go lower than that so far. Jumping from a GTX 470 to this has been quite a big leap. My rig: GTX 660 Ti OC Intel i7 CPU 3.07 GHz Sabertooth X58 Motherboard 6gb Ram

Needless to say, you have to watch it, but here's the rules: 1. You may skip the OP because it is shit. 2. You're not allowed to drop the anime until after watching episode 3. 3. It's best viewed in one sitting (6ish hours). 4. DONT GOOGLE ANYTHING. Is "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" the full title? Downloading... fucking shit... here we go.

PlanetES 12 Kingdoms House of Five Leaves Paranoia Agent - By satoshi kon, if you didn't know
All devoid of moeshit
I will check these out. PlanetES looks very different and cool. 12 Kingdoms don't look as good at first glance but I will have a look at it. Japanese tradition and folklore interests me so House of Five Leaves could be good. Paranoia Agent I saw a few years ago. Phenomenal series. Ah, I love Susumu Hirasawa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-anabfAg06Utatami galaxy oyasumi punpun (its a manga but w/e) black lagoon madoka
somewhat devoid of moeshit
Tatami Galaxy I have heard of. Apparently it's from the same guy who made Mind Game and Cat Soup (Mind Game is brilliant). Oyasumi Punpun looks weird and cool. I don't know how you best consume manga, I could probably order it from amazon. Black Lagoon I have definitely heard of and I will check it out. Is the last one a joke? It looks pretty much like everything I hate about anime. As a person who is extremely terrified by the concept of death (which is sensible) I found this both uncomfortable and hillarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBib1ZwpZCo too bad it's in german.

Can anyone recommend me any series? I have watched most big title anime movies, Satoshi Kon being my favorite director. I'm not going to be more specific just name some stuff for me. I have a pretty broad taste.

Finally got on that H4lo last night. The ordinance (care package) stuff never feel useful, and I don't get why instant respawns are in the game, but it's pretty darned fun I tell you what. I've also been playing that Hydrophobia, but for some reason my save doesn't wanna load so I dunno what to do there. I was liking that game too.
The care packages are very useful. Part from shotguns and snipers there is also double armor and stuff.

Developer / Design / Re: How to make 2D game frightening

I think a lot of what scary is universal. So don't think the fact that the game is in 2D will hinder it from conveying horror. What I find most critical is perhaps the controls of the game. Games like "Clock Tower" gives the player urgency and a sense of helplessness because control is very limited. Still it's just as important is it would be in a 3D game. I don't think the perspective really matters. You should read this blog post " 10 Ways to Evolve Horror Games" from the masters of modern horror games.

Just finished Hotline Miami. My lips are now all fucked up from biting. I always do that on bosses and stuff but when playing Hotline Miami I was biting them all the time. Damn, that game was good. The most obvious thing is that it has such good game feel, it's fun to play even though you are dying all the time. The story was surprisingly enjoyable after it picks up towards the end.
SERIOUS TALK:
Were the dude's at the end supposed to represent Jonatan Söderström and Dennis Wedin? That is what I got out of it. Can you get more information out of the conversation?
Did you get all the secrets? If you do, there's a little more dialogue you can get out of that scene. It's not exactly enlightening, but it might whet your appetite a little. Nah, I did not collect all the pieces. I might just do that because I want to play more!
