And that's what makes it so frustrating, I want to see it, but I'm also trying to avoid all news, trailers and reviews.

Woah, Light Table looks like an amazing way to program games, hopefully the list of supported languages will expand greatly.

I really wanted to see The Cabin in The Woods, but it basically had two screenings in Australia before now going straight to dvd.

I love the way it's going, but I agree it desperately needs a waves mechanic. I can't wait to see where you go with it.

After blazing through two Bukowski novels, I'm now reading "We Never Make Mistakes" by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, which contains "Incident at Krechetovka Station" and "Matryona's House".
I still find myself being caught off guard by Russian names as the book will refer to one character by one name, and character's will refer to him/her by another. It's even worse when you throw in the character's third name.

Bioshock is a good example of this, most of the story concerning Rapture's fall from grace is told through the environment. The levels are filled with details that show the city's psychology, such as advertisements for plastic surgeries and eugenics clinics.

I started reading Ham on Rye by Bukowski, read more than half of it in a single day, it's a pretty addictive read.

It is our generation's Citizen Cane.
Although I haven't seen Citizen Cane and can only assume that it is exactly like Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

slaps sounds like a pussy version of knuckles
because it totally is
Am I the only one who played Quarter Knuckles? Spin a quarter, each of you takes turns to flick the coin to keep it spinning, the one who knocks down the coin then has to put their knuckles flat on the table, their opponent gets to then fling/slide the quarter into your knuckles. I had some serious chunks taken out of my knuckles as a kid from that damn quarter game.Guess so... I used to play that game as well, we called it Blood Knuckles, which is probably a much more accurate title.

You could always try using Flashpunk with Actionscript, the forums are filled with previously existing advice and tutorials and there are many active members who could help you.

Unfortunately I don't have internet at my house (headaches with ISPs) so I will have to wait longer to get this game.

It's generally something fast and loud, although there are exceptions. Although when I'm really try to think over a problem, I usually turn it off.
