I really like the "story" system, it seems like a very fun way to experience the game.

Iggy and The Stooges - Search and Destroy.

I can't wait, this will be my first Ludum Dare, although I'm going to be going to a geek con the same weekend, so I will be a little stretched for time.

In Vampire the Masqurade: Bloodlines, you can come across a BSOD'ed terminal with funny text...which I unfortunately I have forgotten the exact text.

Oh man, Malkavian lines are the best, one of them was a reference to The Pixies: "I heard a rumor that he was into field hockey players".

I ordered some copies of The Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus and Nausea by Jean Paul Sartre, online.

My tendency to seek out works about Nihilism, Absurdism or Existentialism seems to be almost masochistic, based on how it affects my mind.

I underestimated how much fun this game is, I created a Malkavian who is a surprisingly smooth talker for someone who only spouts nonsense, with a focus on melee and stealth.  The powers Malkavians get are pretty awesome, hysteria basically gives you a free shot at feeding off someone and you also get to occasionally command people in dialog.

I kinda like the abstractness of it, something tells me they would look really good when animated.

I only noticed this topic today, I may just join in tomorrow.
331  Player / Games / Original Fallout available for free on GoG on: April 06, 2012, 02:39:49 AM
Basically exactly what the title says, it will only be free for another day or so, though.  Mods, feel free to close this topic if you feel it doesn't need to exist.

I'm currently reading the Penguin's Classics collection of Franz Kafka's works.  I admire how much he manages to say in such few words in his short stories.

I'm going to go ahead and wait until more details surface, Notch can't seem to be able to do anything without causing massive arguments.
334  Developer / Design / Re: Why indie games are windowed while AAA titles are full screen? on: April 04, 2012, 02:44:24 AM
With all of the money AAA studios spend on graphics, they're going to take any chance they can to fill your screen in their high rez goodness.

Also generalisations.

Now you can stare down people in front of you and to your right at the same time.

I can't stop staring at that title, once you start recognising the various, possible, geometric forms it is hard to stop.

Personally I preferred the old style, but I can certainly see the appeal in this one, it's good to hear that you'll be working on it more soon.

So much Binding of Isaac, yet so many playthroughs still to go...

Managed to triple my game's fps by almost completely recreating how a certain objects were created/handled.  Once the collision physics are wrapped up, the core gameplay of the game will be finished.
