Feels like this whole topic started on a sour note and everyone just follows suit and sings the same sad song to fit in. Uhuh. Because there's just no way all that distaste could be genuine right? not that, just that cactus is so indie he doesn't even agree with indies more like, as part of the indie elite now, he chalks up even widespread and well backed up complaints to "people just like to whine"

Weird that the american box is the one without explosions. It does have a tank and attack helicopters though.

A cyan dot?
Maybe they just wanted to trademark it so that they could sue any medium printed in CMYK for repeated unauthorized use of their brand in miniature?
This plus making every inevitable unrelated instance of a cyan dot free marketing. Same reason people trademark common words like EDGE for their brand...

Someone should just get on doing some indie dev video interviews already.
Be someone who knows stuff about indie games, get a webcam, set up a youtube channel.
Oh wait we live in the age of overproduced shit that needs a $50k kickstarter before anything can happen.

I love SMB3 as much as the next TIGS member, but
The popularity of the character of Mario, along with that of Pokémon, is ruining everything Nintendo touches now.
Instead of a new Shiren (or even a translation) we get the fifteenth Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. Instead of a new Golden Sun the same team is working in Mario Tennis 5 or some bullshit.
As a rule of thumb on Nintendo systems, anything branded MARIO or POKÉMON will outsell anything that isn't.
Yes, I felt this had an entirely too positive vibe for a General thread.
