Oh, this game!
I remember coming across the scrapped game from your Youtube channel.
I love Treasure's stuff, mostly because of the technical things they did with the systems their games are on like scaling and 1000s of explosions on screen while still keeping a constant 60-50 framerate.
Played the demo, and really liked it, even with the slowdown on my comp.

Also, if you want some more run & gun inspirations, play The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the Genesis. Really underrated and difficult game.

Good luck!

Some kind of wizard guy.
Haven't pixeled in a while, like "5 months" while.

What he said.

If need more games to give you ideas, you might want to try out Faxanudu or Ys 3: Wanderers from Ys. Espically Ys 3, since you're looking for similar Zelda 2 aesthetic, which this game has.

One of things I really didn't like of Zelda 2 is where I was suppose to go after I leave Zelda's shrine(or whatever you call it). I wasn't really the kind of guy to go look for a guide to get where I want to go, since it's alot more satisfying to go blind. Alot of objectives in the game like getting to point A to B was really hard for me mainly because of vague hints and descriptions inbetween. Just sharing this to tell you to avoid this since you're basing this off Zelda 2.

Good luck on future endeavors man, and finding an artist.

posting this hear, it's for that pokemon-like mmorpg, I need feedback I know theres lots wrong so far so here's a handful of WIP's.

Also any help given to me would be appreciated, if you can pixel like this or similar, PM me! Smiley

(sorry for the recruiting, i'll make a thread sometime asking in the proper section)
Hhhnnnngghhh, these are delicious.  Hand Shake Left
The characters kind of read a platformer looking in front of the screen, instead of an traditional RPG perspective. Always love the rendering you do with your pieces, man.

Playing Xenogears...

combat in that game is just genius and awesome.
Oh and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
6  Developer / Technical / Re: Castlevania-style controls: provide a separate input for backdash or subweapon? on: April 11, 2012, 07:10:25 PM
Wasn't the back dash the left trigger in the castlevania games?

I think there should be a separate button for this as up+Z sounds a bit confusing to me.  I'm recommending the Shift or C key.

Made a basic cutscene system over the weekend. Based off of Ninja Gaiden's stuff without the animations.

Added healthbar

There are currently 100+ tracks, and each is on average 1MB in size.
oh my fuck. i hope they are amazing.

I didn't see that OCC mistake there, I actually thought it was a different format than OGG.
I wish you luck on solving this problem bro.
13  Developer / DevLogs / Re: Jack the Reaper on: March 08, 2012, 04:40:11 PM
reduce them all to OGGs.
Most songs converted to ogg format are around 1-4 MB or something. can't remember.
