"Bro", I stated an opinion, "bro". I hate playing on smartphones, "bro". Simple as that, "bro". Stealing screen real estate with my fingers crossing the viewing area annoys me, "bro". Me, "bro". Shouldn't be taken as a truism, "bro". It's my view on it, "bro".
There will be a PC version, good. Actually, great!

Yesterday, when I saw your mention of Giger, I found it really misplaced. I don't see "Giger" there, because I fail to see the amount of organic imagery Giger imposes upon his creations. And general bad taste throughout. The guy has some cool stuff, but I find it boring looking at sexual imagery rather than offensive or even disturbing.
namagog's art is quite his own. Only he can tell us where he took inspiration from.
Of course, that's me rambling. If you have a Giger vibe, I'm cool with it, though I fail to see the connection.

Considering the ridiculous online store, any good games there?
I'd like to have something fresh, but not willing/having money to spend on a full blown retail title.
No way paying for their retarded prices for GBA/GB/GBC games. 3DS specific games preferred, but if there's any DSi games worthy of mention, shoot ahead.

i think you are thinking of phubans' thread? that one was more about how he thinks this forum's users in general are bad, it wasn't distinguishing between new and old users. i don't think new users are any worse in terms of respect and post quality than old users
There will always be the ones who will say the same thing as the OP. This is a cycle, a never ending cycle that will be like the one before. Years from now, someone will say the exact same thing.

Make asteroids more asteroidy. round them more and give them a couple craters on their surface. Possibly diminish the amount of stars, because they can make bullets hard to see, but unless we see it moving, that might no be true at all.

Good watch. The part on Maria's detail, going to her belly to reinforce her personality is genius. Quite amazing, that part.
Thanks for the link.

I don't care for leaderboards because I'm not competitive. A few of my friends were all over Facebook beating each others' scores. They tried to entice me to it, but I can't feel the urge to beat anyone at a game unless we compete directly, like in a racing game or fighting game.

The animation is weird. Check some videos of swimmers in the Olympics, right after they dive. Your merman is doing something, but that movement doesn't tranpire that he is swimming.
He seems to be doing that dance move where people slide while laying on the floor face down. Don't know the name of the move, though.

Lol, I had a 3rd from bottom is precisely Ridge Racer 3D LOL!!! Figures why I thought it was familiar. I don't use the cases much, having the cartridges near the console and the cases stored in case I want to sell them later, I never look at them much. I agree with your comment on RR3D. It's a very ideal racing game for when commuting.

I have never had coffee in my life.
You had caffeinated sodas or even energetic beverages, I'm sure. There's caffeine in them, so I'm sure you'll survive the experience. If you don't please do tell us about it. Or get another kind of beverage, same difference. Point is: it's not nice going to a space and stand there and not caring to buy something. I go to shopping centers and most times don't spend a dime, but seeing as they have a common area, they aren't putting up with me. If in a coffee shop, I always get something and ask if I can be there for a while. I also ask if I can plug in my laptop, if my expenditure is more than a coffee/drink and I'm on a roll at work and don't want to loose my stride.

|
on: June 19, 2012, 02:14:11 AM

Games have been the only exception to an R18+ rating for a long time. The justification has been that violent video games will put you into a trance that causes you to kill as many people as possible. It is a well-known fact that the perpetrator of the Port Arthur massacre in 1996 played Counter-Strike for years before undertaking his rampage.
The hypocrisy in that stance is ridiculous. Ah, politicians... Gotta love them.

Developer / Technical / Re: Coding without curly brackets
|
on: June 18, 2012, 04:07:54 PM
|
|
I don't think I can program without the curlies anymore.
I use a mix of same line curly braces for really short lines of code for debugging (that will not last long), and a single line for each curly when things get a bit longer/final code.
I find them weird dangling at the end of a line, so I always move them to the next.
