Update:

Over the past 3 months ive been running a small beta and working on a side game (recently released). I got lots of useful feedback and the basic consensus was "more diablo 2, less megaman"

Based on this feedback I changed a massive amount of stuff in the game, including adding pseudo-randomly generated levels, an additional class (A caster class), waypoints and re-adding townportals.

As you might imagine, this required a great deal of restructuring, and some continued restructuring in the future.

Here is a couple of screenshots to show the progress made in putting more "diablo 2" into the game, including a new mini-map feature:

I intend to create a blog soon to consolidate all my future updates into one place. Additionally Im going to adhere to a strict once a week update policy in the future with more details in terms of the process of creating the game.

Now officially released and available for purchase!
10  Developer / Finished / Re: KillOrbit: A 360 degree gravity side scroller RPG + DEMO on: September 01, 2012, 11:06:21 PM
Releasing very soon!

Demo now available on www.killorbit.com

Some warning: If you have problems with vertigo, balance or motion sickness, dont play this game. Seriously. You do so at your own peril.

Things i'd like to know specifically:
1: Operating system (make sure you use windows XP or later)
2: Screen resolution
plus how the game looks on really big screens. (Dont have one available to test on)

Other specs, video card, processor, etc, would be great.

A VIDEO of you playing it for the first time until you decide to quit would be ultimate amounts of awesome.

and definitely tell me if you run into any problems.

Other than that, enjoy it! Tell me what you think.
11  Developer / Finished / KillOrbit: Officially released! on: August 31, 2012, 08:11:31 PM
For the last 3 months or so I've been working on taking this minigame concept from MechLore (www.mechlore.com), and making it into its own standalone game.

Last week I've completed that goal, and soon (as early as this weekend) the game will be available for demo download/purchase!

This will be my first released game. I felt I should have some "shiping" experience before I finish mechlore, and hopefully any funds gained in the process will go towards expediting the road to making MechLore a reality.

I saw this on reddit. Looking really cool dude.

The graphics are pretty darn amazing.

Are you planning to have any sort of RPG/skill systems in this?

Website should be working again.

This is for PC I take it?

The charge system seems like an interesting choice. What inspired you to revamp your system to encompass it? Do skills cost more mana the longer they're charged?

Are there passive skills? If so, what kind?
