Well, no I just use CCG to distinguish between games like what you guys are talking about and a regular deck of cards (as I play Bridge.)
No, he got some special paper and made/print/cut the cards himself. It was pretty cheaply done and he made a whole lot of them so four people could play a game he invented. To me, accessible = < $100 and that's how he made it happen.
Anyway, I thought it was neat.

A friend of mine made a card game and showed it to me last night. He showed me the software+tools he used to put it together; I gotta say it's pretty neat! Man, I should give it a try myself instead of languishing away in the Flixel pits. I didn't realize it was so... accessible a hobby. (making, not playing CCGs)

Since you're using C#, I *highly* recommend Object Serialization. Check it out if you use Java, C#, or AS3. It really really *really* saves on time.
Case in point: I have about 12 lines of code which can save/load absolutely any file format I'd care to. It's not hard to figure out and it is a big big timesaver.

The pilot wasn't very good, but there are a couple of funny moments in the show. My particular favourite is watching Pinkie break down at her own birthday party... a party where nobody shows up to share with her. The loneliness of the room is pretty striking.
Her resulting...um...*insanity* is amusing/terrifying to behold.
I think it's made by some of the same people from Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home, and that definitely bleeds through the cute layer at times. I can't say it happens often enough to recommend it though.

Yeah the disk mags were pretty amazing, but clearly a tremendous amount of work. I think the blog format's a bit more conducive to updating. Honestly, it's nice having someone in the homebrew scene that has indie ties. It means I get to read about such events and it's usually the kinda stuff that's tough to find elsewhere. I don't think I woulda ever found Yoomp otherwise.

A surprisingly deep game I played (many moons ago) was Vampire: The Masquerade. Yeah yeah, based on the roleplaying game with vampires etc, but you may be surprised. The gameplay rules were pretty damn balanced and I gotta say, I've played dozens of CCGs (at least) but it's still the one that sticks in my mind most. It was the kinda game that didn't confuse "depth" with "complexity", which is a common sad mistake in most games.
I dunno, it could totally suck nowadays, but way back then it was pretty cool.

I admit to the following: 1) The PS3 is going to lose perhaps billions in legal fees after the recent debacle. 2) The Playstation division has been in the red for five years. 3) The primary reason, to improve market penetration of Blu-ray, sorta failed. That and some other minor things made me think they wouldn't even bother with a PS4. It doesn't seem like a move likely to win over stakeholders. Seeing has how they've been losing a lot of the market to Samsung and other manufacturers in their *important* divisions, you think they would focus on getting back what they can. From an investor's point of view, the announcement of the PS4 kinda would urge me to sell sell sell. As a publicly-traded company, their highest priority (sadly) is to improve market speculation of their brand. I don't...really think the PS4 is gonna help. But here we are, so clearly my armchair economics has failed me.

I've never walked in my sleep, but that's probably due to my extreme laziness. Sadly, I have been told that I do *sing* in my sleep. I...really wish I didn't. Sometimes after midnight, the inside of my room sounds like a bad episode of American Idol.

My list would be a few hundred titles long. Clearly my little reptile mind is easily blown. But here are 5 recent cool ones I played: -Doom RL (the latest version.) -Blood of the Chameleon -Nightsky -Desktop Dungeons (again, the latest version with the new tilesets.) -A bit older, but man I'll second Glum Buster. Seriously though, I'd be here all day so I'll leave the rest up to you guys.

Heh. Well, we're all pretty busy but you never know, it might have already happened? A lot of people that peruse this place don't always announce their intentions. I would suggest adding your pixel-art boards to a particular thread...
I *know* there's a thread around here for free-range assets, but that could have been a compo thing. Still, there is a gathering place around here for art assets with no home. I know, because I've rummaged through the collection myself.
