"there is protection against high/low humanly-unblockable setups which is one of the reasons custom assists are even possible" Kiss
Custom assists are a godlike thing when you are experimenting with combos in a 2-d fighter. Mike Z captured my intrest a little before the double trailer came out

GOONS

Not entirely sure what color scheme to go with on this guy. He's a fairly strong, yet dumb enemy type.

perhaps it could vary on skeledads location or on their health and methods of approach

I have got a lot of must plays but I'll try to say them all:

Deus Ex - A challenging and complex FPS game.
Burnout 3 - Racing game where you can (and need) to attack you adversaries. The OST is pretty awesome and there's some events where you have to hit the more vehicle as possible which is mega sweet.
N+ - A platformer which makes you a (game) ninja.
Gimmick! - Hard game where you use a bouncing star to attack. It has one of the best scores and graphics in Famicom's story.
Ratchet & Clank 2/3 (spec. 3) - One of the finest 3D platformers I've played. A game where you use a buttload of awesome weapons and level design.
Just Cause 2 - My favorite sandbox game. You are a guy in Panau and you can blow lots of shit up. A clear exemple what the (now) next-gen home consoles can offer that the last gen couldn't.
Wario Land 3 - Search for treasure with Wario in this beautiful Game Boy Color game.
Hotel Dusk/Last Window (spec. the later) - I love this two game so much that my next big game (on my sig /shamelessplug) is based on them. The games are point N' click first person games with a lot of mystery, puzzles and interrogation. Awesome OST on both.
Ketsui - A magnificent STG by Cave. Truly one of the defining arcade games of the last arcade.
R-Type Leo - Gorgeous graphics and sound and a cool new mechanic make this my favorite R-Type.
Jet Set Radio Future - A game where you have to graffiti walls and fight against the police. Lovely art style and music.
Worms World Party - With new terrain on each play and individual missions WWP rocks my socks.
Mega Man Zero Series - The hardest and the best of the Mega Man series. Level and character design well made with a really nice soundtrack to accompany.

I think it's all, although I might be forgetting one or two!
Jet Grind Radio was so much fun. the music and art made the game
never got to play Future but check this out

it's a remaster for XBLA and SEN
and yes i say grind because i'm from North American

Also, Mother 3.

... never played mother 3. heard about it a lot and that the ending is fantastic.
still haven't tho
Same. But if it's anywhere near as good as EarthBound (which I bet it is) it's definitely worth playing.

.... haven't played earthbound but again heard great things

One of my faves is kingdom hearts.

good enemies that scaled and changed so it wasn't repetitive, fun gameplay (melee, spells, and changeable teammates) ,had challenging and fun ways to beat bosses, all age, and i enjoyed the story thoroughly.
2 had cleaner graphics and gameplay but was not as good in terms of story. and i never touched any of the handheld games.
I also like red dead redemption a LOT
mass effect 2

there's also the Commander Amarao who is Naota's mental picture of what an adult is supposed to be. with that in mind Atomsk is a representation of what an Adult is supposed to be in a relationship.
Not at all. Commander Amarao is a very childish adult. The person who Naota looks up to the most is his brother Tasuku.

It's all up to interpretation but I feel I said that wrong. I agree with you in saying he looks up to his brother most but he left when Naota was young and so during the course of the show Commander Amarao is a character that is always trying to be and act mature in the show which is a trait he shares with Naota. he is also the one that has the most things to teach Naota and helps him come to some realizations. So I guess I should of said Commander Amarao is the one Naota most picks up acting like an adult from.

Doesn't he just like transform whenever? I really can't figure that animu out.
I've watched flcl through like 8 times now

he turns red whenever there is the attacking robots but he only turns into the gun when he eats Naota. this is becuase of Haruko hitting Canti on the back of the head in the first episode
Inside of Canti is the space pirate king Atomsk and Atomsk’s is the symbol thats on his tv face when he turns red. also Atomsk  is a giant phoenix that can consume planets

Canti is a representation of naota's caring mature side when haruko shows up and Canti begins doing things for everybody who asks even if they don't treat him with respect.
there's also the Commander Amarao who is Naota's mental picture of what an adult is supposed to be. with that in mind Atomsk is a representation of what an Adult is supposed to be in a relationship. Naota learns from all of them. there's a lot to take from this show

one last thing Haruko isn't after atomsk in the show because she's in love. she just wants his power which ends up being physically manifested as a EB-0 1961 Gibson

I always liked Canti from FLCL, his weight really seems to be well distributed, and he's very versatile with his different costumes and attires.

I love Canti.
and he transforms when he eats naota

looks fun. i see what your saying about the rock, and the cave entrance looks a little off but it might just be because of the rock.
