It would be really cool if enough people got together to extend the original Spelunky. But don't just copy Spelunky XBLA. That would be lame. Make it something unique! Spelunky was one of the first indie games I played and it has a special place in my heart, and it's just plain fun.

Much better to make your game.

For example, I'm doing an adventure game and is also inspired by Spelunki. In no case, not a clone. Do not think. Just another game.

Hey there, guys. Sorry, my English is so bad, so that's not my native language.

My name is Max, leader of little, independent game development studio from Russia, called Twin Studios. We love to develop small indie games and learning some boring stuff. We grow, and we need to have some awesome artist in our cozy team to make our new projects better. So we have some completed games now, but they are old and need full programming rewrite.

One of them:

Monocult screenshot

Monocult
, action / survival / platformer / action made in 3 weeks for Gaminator 9 jam. You have to survive in the eternal cold (randomly-generated world), using items.

Game contains 18 items (hands, shotgun, bombs, ladder, torch, wood, iron, artifact, syringe, fire, plinth, berries, drugs, grass, paper, clocks, heart of Raziel).

Game contains 13 monsters with unique actions (monro (symbol of the game), dart, giant, teethort, bird, jumper, assistant, small and big snowmans, zombie, poison zombie, tester, Raziel (main boss)).

One of types of monro (main monster of game)

So, this game is not won main prize, but I glad: we took third place in the "bright side". In my plans full rewrite of this awesome game (but she is so buggy) as Monocult 2 or Monocult+.

She screenshot

She, platformer about love, which was developed for 2 days and is first our completed project. Game contains 20 levels, obstacles (monsters, turrels) and some gameplay modifications on every level. I want to do update for this game, but she contains small bugs.

Super Rainbow Cat screenshot

Super Rainbow Cat, arcade, created in collaboration with my buddies (YellowAfterlife, ViralHaze). Developed in 2 days for CODE6 jam. In this game you control a cat, which is running over rainbows, jumping and bouncing rats. This game you can download from our small site.

Frozen Hearts screenshot

Frozen Hearts, stealth-action, we developed for half of year, but project closed, because we don't have some artists and really awesome ideas for this game.

Sliver screenshot

Sliver, story-based platformer, I develop now for Gaminator 10 jam. In game, you control a cat, who is looking for people on the Moon (cheese) and trying to survive, fleeing from aggressive fauna of Earth's satellite.

The Cult screenshot

The Cult, platformer / action / roguelike / semi-RPG, I develop now too. Players can create and load randomly-generated worlds (you can see small piece of one of them in screenshot) and using items (Hey, Monocult!), survive in world with monsters, weapons, puzzles, portals and other awesome stuff.

So, I love to develop it and I want to find some artists and game-designer for The Cult and future games. If you want to join for our team, you can send me a message on comments of this post or add me on Skype: thisisdecoy.

- Respectfully, Max.

What engine you use to develop it?
11  Developer / DevLogs / Re: The Walled Garden on: June 24, 2012, 01:32:44 PM
It has long been following the project. So, I downloaded and tested the tech demo. This game combines really interesting mechanics and awesome graphics. Interesting that this game developed for 4 years. I really surprised about content of this game.

So, how I can complete first stage?

Bugs:

- Error with o_antiPlayer in player VS anti-player stage
- room_goto(Menu) error in shop stage

Cheers, Dec.
