I don't really like the game, but considering ironman mode is an OPTION that you have to DELIBERATELY SELECT that seems like a pretty petty complaint to have.

Sure.

Driving a Lamborghini down a mountain road in the autumn months. I pass a sign, long overgrown, advertising a wildlife refuge just off the highway I have been exploring; not too far out of the way, I decide, and pull in. There is no real parking, just a gravel area in which I leave the car with the keys inside; someone else can have it if they can find it, I decide. Today is a day for nature. Five miles down the path, I spy an eagle perched upon a rocky tor in the distance; it seems to me to be almost a symbol of some older, better time, when all the land around here was alone and free of man. It touches me in a way that I cannot describe, and I am filled with a longing to escape this space and its oppressive lack of humanity as I pull out my rifle and snipe the red player I see in the distance to get the last kill and win the game for our team.

Dean was telling me a week or two back he was going to try his hand at entering Dust: An Elysian Tail again, so I guess Dust is going back into the IGF pot. Wewtttt!

are the sales so bad?

Ah never saw this! Yes, he sold one copy. The poor lads in bits.

That's a shame -- it didn't seem like my kind of thing but it clearly had a lot of effort put into it. Not that I would have bought it had I known; I only really play PC games these days.

I can understand that a country gets pissed off at being turned into the weekly terrorist hideout by hollywood neo-fascistic culture, when they're already harrassed by all europe for "being bad spenders" and not adhering to the perfect aryan budget program,  and having the responsibility of the whole crisis put on themselves in the medias all the time

You know that Greece is literally being taken over by an openly xenophobic neo-nazi fascist party right now, right?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29

That's unsettling, though in the reelection I believe their seats were actually reduced -- hopefully, their movement will falter and eventually disappear like the last time Golden Dawn was a serious political party. Not saying that will happen, but it's the best case.

Well, this is stupid
Hopefully they will get free soon.

I think you mean they are stupid, because what the hell did they think would happen

Pathologic is fucking fantastic and everyone should play it until they give up from inevitable self-loathing and frustration

Thanks to overhunting, much of Canada's once thriving beaver population was decimated and furs were hard to come by, raising their prices so much that one could not even buy the newest videogames or applications with one unless they were the daily deal on steam

I support the catholic church because the vatican has 2.27 popes per square kilometer -- more than any other religion

Let me tell you how I decide whether to buy a book. I have a strict ratio of one dollar to fifty pages. so i would pay twenty dollars for the latest twilight novel and two fifty for a brief history of time or perhaps a copy of macbeth

rhinos will fuck your shit up

I think the issue was more of why you would go into detail on your pricing structure for games to a bunch of strangers on the internet who in no way would ever give a shit about them

I don't recall saving someone and getting a safe code? I unlocked every safe and also killed (nearly) everyone.

There are some, though I think usually you can find the code elsewhere or they only have useful items rather than runes or gold (i.e. I helped a guard out and he opened a safe full of ammunition)

I didn't see the check mark for if you're friends with the organizers and should therefore win automatically; do you send that client out automatically or do they have to get it from you along with an urging to enter and not worry about how it looks to everyone else

Been playing Two Worlds II again. Fantastic goddamned game which deserved a lot more credit than most people give it.

Cannot wait for their new game, it looks fascinating
