Developer / Technical / It evidently was worth a new technical thread.

well, I have a question, but I think it's too technical to go in the "fight thread pollution" thread, in general. however, I don't think it deserves a new thread. So I'm starting a new one anyway. Here's my question: has any of you used FLTK before for user interface stuff? Is it any good? easy? hard? Thanks.

even worse, that one lighting sound which crops up EVERYWHERE. From dungeon keeper, to dr who.
Would that be Castle Thunder? Possibly, it might just be the first little bit of it though...

If it's just keeping things up to date I'd be happy to help Much more than that might be difficult, what with exams and stuff coming up.

Those stock cat sound effects. You know, those five or six cat noises that show up whenever there's a cat involved in a movie or TV show or commercial or whatever. Added because, typically, cats don't make a lot of noise, or at least not the sort of noises that people are supposed to expect. 'Cause apparently viewers simply can't accept that a cat's a cat unless it's "meowing" all the time.
Please, Hollywood, get some better cat sounds.

have any of you lot heard anything about shapeways? ( http://www.shapeways.com) It appears to be a 3d printing company, with an attached marketplace, with pretty nice prices (about $1.50 per cm^3 for white plastic) although I'm not too much of an expert. Thoughts? It'd be pretty cool to see a tigsource logo up for sale on there imho, however I dont really think I'm good enough at modeling for it to happen.
