Quote
There's a boss in Dark Souls 2 who's probably 20 feet tall. Covered in knight's armor thick as a forearm, he has a sword that seems as long as he is tall. He's angry, and he wants you dead.

Also, his sword shoots lightning. With a powerful slash, he produces an arc so deadly and accurate that the only way to avoid it is to wait for it to rush at you and then, at the very last second, jump away. And this is not his most notable feature.

He's called the Mirror Knight because the side of his shield that faces players is an enormous pristine mirror. In the Dark Souls 2 demo Polygon saw at E3, the Mirror Knight took a knee and summoned a regular sized bad guy out of his mirror.

In the retail version of Dark Souls 2, which is due out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in March 2014, that won't be the case. In the retail version, the Mirror Knight — the 20-foot humanoid tank with the plated armor and the magical lightning sword — will not eject an AI-controlled enemy from his oval mirror shield. He will eject a human-controlled character.

This is the best thing.

DS2 is coming to PC. They said that day 1. Also that it was being specifically developed with PC in mind rather than it being a port. So its built from the ground up to run well on both consoles and PC.

And just because From Software makes a game exclusive for x console doesn't mean anything. Demon's Souls was exclusive.

Has there been any updates yet on what kind of gameplay this will have?

Turn based tactical FPS RPG dungeon crawler loot dropper.

This is a game that could benefit from kill streaks.

I need to take a break for a while. The more and more I test the game the less fun I find it.

Its like shitty Samurai Gunn or Tower Fall. It needs something else to be worth anything, and right now it doesnt have whatever that thing is.

I'm going to just... focus on another little programming thing I want to do and come back to block when I have some more ideas.

You can do this.

You're Ron Fucking Swanson.

Your art makes me weak in the knees.

Not too much. I think one of the outlets died and my PC tower will actually shock me if I plug it in anywhere. I ordered a new chassis so we will see. *fingers crossed*

Well, Atnas is missing. So I can't get the last piece into the game because I have no sprite for it. Its a shoulder tackle that you use by double tapping the direction you want to tackle in. If you hit the other player, you send them flying backwards and you can catch them with a crouch shot if you're good enough. Otherwise if you hit a wall you get stunned for a second.

Also it rained here in Missouri for 6 straight days and as a result the back half of my house flooded. Which is where my room/PC was. Haven't had a computer for a week now so nothing has been done on good ol blockpckp. Sad sad.

I read that as combat/hiking simulator and it was a much better idea.

It should be set in the step event of the object you want to follow the player.

I had success with simply instance create/destroy.

@Rabbit so make the red box appear the moment the attack animation is played right?

More or less. The red box represents the part of the sprite that is actually able to hit something. You probably wont want it to be visible in game.
