I was working pretty hard to not get a visual image of that in my head ... My breakfast just shifted into reverse.
Does that now mean you ARE Sausage Eyes?

He's humble, too! +Peter, if the 3D games I played when I was younger all looked like that, my nostalgydia would have staged a coup d'état of my brain. That's some outstanding stuff. I'm very excited to take root in the fertile, indie soil here at TIG farm.
We're so glad to have you.

Hey, you folks are good! I can't beat the intro screen. To be honest, I'm actually surprised it's possible. After falling into the water a bunch, I took "this is a hard game" as truth, and left. The first is that I suspect a lot of people will be scared off by the trick jumps and the brutality of restarting so frequently...
I'm not usually so blunt with my feedback, but whilst it looks wonderful, it's too difficult for me to progress further. Moreso, I have no real want to - just going to get harder, right? On a more positive note, presentation is top notch! And your website is fantastic, in a subtle way.

Lessee, ADOM has a knack of devouring hours of my life at a time, when I get a need for the thing. And I've been playing since 2002.
N. Don't play it too much these days, but man. Poor little ninja dies soooo many times.
And, slotting nicely in at #3, Splunky. Still playing it at least 4 times a week. That's been since Christmas. What a great present.
Honorable mentions probably include Liero (which constituted part of my high school education) Ur-Quan Masters (that counts, right?) and Clean Asia (the music is ever-fresh, and the game continues to kick my arse).

I was amused, but then I left. I'd like to note that it's supposed to be annoying. :D
Mission accomplished. MY EYES HURT NOW.

The forums devoured my post. Nothing remains. It was super long, but maybe I should shoot for brevity. tigf threads (art, pixel, etc) some devlog stuff? game guides perhaps maybe some editorial?
I'd love to see some choice TIGS thread cuts, and maybe awesome things from places such as Pixelation and others. Making of [GAME] sections would be great - you know, from idea to finished products, what made it good, what they'd do different, concepts and inspirations and such. In-Depth Reviews, like what Dustin's cooking up, would be nice too. General Interviews with Developers, or Artists, or Musicians, or Writers, or whoever. Editorials about the scene, and maybe Events (GDC, TIGJAM, and friends). Maybe some more nebulous brainstorming/inspiration sessions would be great too. You know, like Squidi's 300 or Puzzdog or something - free range, nutritious concepts from many different minds. So, I guess I'd prefer Exclusive stuff skewed towards a book. Guides and In-Development Devlogs or Standard Reviews (81/100), well, I'd avoid. Far too in-the-moment, I think. a sort of snapshot idea is interesting though
I think that it would be a very easy way to ensure that the publication would be meaningful, and very relevant both now (to those who aren't fully briefed on indie gaming) and to those down the road who are interested in the history of this movement, or just feel like getting nostalgic.

Mmmmm, I remember this also. Was an E3 video, if I remember. Being touted for advanced AI learning or something. The Pikmin comparison's a good one, though I think it was a sidescroller? AND it was about cleaning up the Earth... I think. You've piqued my interest. I think I might go hunting for that video. Be right back. EDIT: GAH! I can't find anything.

CAN'T STOP PLAYING JAPANESE SPELUNKYYYYY Or is it La-Mulana UltraLight? Man, this is fantastic. Very cute, super detailed little thing. Crisp, tiny pixel treasure! I accidentally left before I'd got everything, but that's okay. See you next adventure and all that. I love the idea of packing all the levels into actualy, physical levels. Great times.

Ah, looks like Sharkey 1UP'd Spelunky. Awesome. Tell us, does traffic spike when something like this happens? I didn't even know there were cheats. The game is mondo-tough (a "soul destroyingly addictive cavalcade of relentless hellish torment" reports Scott Sharkey of 1UP) but it's still not THAT difficult. Game can be beat, Meigus! Just, uh, gradually. And with much Screaming.
