I don't know if Edgy's removal is due to Langdell again, but I think David decided that Edge/Edgy/Edge by Mogibame is the only name his game will have, and is also the only game ever to be called simply "Edge". So knowing him, and judging by the ridiculous amount of time (and money) he lost on this matter, I think he'll just say "fuck" to all of this and will resist until the end.

Supporting Mobigame by buying Cross Fingers is the only thing we can do for them (it's rather excellent by the way).

I hope Tim Langdell gets cock cancer.

Mobigame’s co-founder David Papazian fears that Langdell is trying to retroactively claim ownership on Mobigame’s Edge before it was rebranded Edgy.

Wait, so they gave langdell shares in Fuzzy as settlement?!  Facepalm

Edge Games registered Edge of Twilight on behalf of Fuzzyeyes so they pay him for one of his special Edge licenses to use the name.

http://www.edge-of-twilight.com/eot_us.html

This would have been the same for MobiGame if they took him up on his offer of him registering the trademark and them paying him money for nothing!

<sigh>

Oh dear...

Langdell is now selling branded SD cards & USB devices on his website.

 http://www.edgegames.com/

More Langdell photoshop skills!

Guess he is trying it on with Edgetech or using this as more proof of trading using his famous trademark!

Edge games website updated -

PS3 Racers coming soon.

Hmmm looking forward to that one, Langdell actually believes he is a publisher!

I think he is mentally ill, what a sad man.

I was cleaning up my office today and I came across a package for some RAM my company bought for a staff member earlier this year before all the Langdell hoopla. I turned it over and saw the logo of the company:

http://www.edgetechcorp.com/

Someone has likely already pointed this out but it was definitely a eerie twilight zone moment for me. The logo is very close to that of edge games/magazine.

How very convenient…

Inside the mind of the Langdell –

I will steal/borrow an old game from a developer that has long gone, baffle my many EDGE® followers with my website updates and confusing the fuck out of everyone so that nobody can point the finger at me when the time comes!

I will use Photoshop longer today now that I have discovered layers so I can make box art even better than the ones EA can create.

I am so talented, no wonder I am called Dr. Tim Langdell.

9.9.09 that’s given me an EDGE® today...

I will announce it was released last week just to confuse matters.

I will even tell them it’s now sold out due to the overwhelming demand for this title that everyone has heard of and wants!

They can’t buy it now I put a 'out of stock' to stop them.

I know they want to show people I burnt a CD-R and printed my own box I thought it was a personal touch... Oh I fogot to wash my hands after touching my EDGE®.

I will fool those nasty EDGE® haters for buying my special copy of Mythora that I was going to show the silly old Trademark board when they renew my EDGE®.

In fact people were banging on my PO BOX on the day of release demanding some of my EDGE®

I wonder how Cheri is getting on with her book ‘LIVING ON THE EDGE®- THE CREATOR OF THE GAMES INDUSTRY AND OTHER TALES’ by Cheri (Langdell never heard of him) Davis.

I have such an EDGE® on...

Love my EDGE®...Please!

Calzone: I read the ChaosEdge Mythora article. I'm wondering how legal this whole business is; basically, Tim Langdell is doing the next best thing to selling pirated versions of games he burns on cds: he sells goldmasters(or beta versions- I think that would be easy to verify) he doesn't have rights to on the internet. That's a simple matter for law enforcement, not the trademark office.

From what I have seen Langdell is gearing up his made up evidence by adding all his trademarks including the disputed ones as proof for the trademark board on the Mythora box.

They won't know that he has faked his website or that he has altered the evidence as in previous disputes.

He will just present the box and sales invoices for that game even though they are copies he is burning on CD-R media.

Piracy is just another thing to add to the list of fraudulent activities Edge Games are now involved in.

Chances are he did have agreement to distribute Mythora but it looked like it fell through so he has just claimed it as his to present to the trademark office as evidence.

I wonder with all this activity from him that his trademarks are being investigated or up for renewal?

It will now be a dispute for Frontline to battle with Langdell but has that ever really stopped him?

He is doing what he did years ago with the Sword of Sodan game, were both parties were about to agree a distribution but it fell apart and Palace Software ended up distributing the game. Still did not stop him putting it on his current website.

Has the Mirrors box changed again?

Looks like ET now!

Yup, and all the details should be appearing on ChaosEdge soon.

I can hardly wait. It's almost like the scene with the box at the end of "Seven".

ChaosEdge have posted the Mythora story...

What a suprise  Angry

I wonder how long it will take Langdell to spawn this one on his website?

http://www.edge-of-twilight.com/eot_us.html

They have updated the trademark text to include Edge Games Inc <sigh>

14  Player / Games / Re: Mobigame's Edge pulled because of the word Edge on: September 07, 2009, 02:45:22 AM
Well, I guess now all we have to do is call the USPTO and inform them of Edges Games? Will somebody in the US call them or write to them? Will it be that easy?

http://www.uspto.gov/go/com/iip/complaints.htm

Found this maybe it will be some help?

The key to stopping Langdell is with the Trademark Office.
15  Player / Games / Re: Mobigame's Edge pulled because of the word Edge on: September 06, 2009, 03:43:08 PM
And another example -

http://www.cafc.uscourts.gov/opinions/08-1448.pdf

In the renewal, Bose stated that the WAVE mark was still in use in commerce on various goods, including audio tape recorders and players. Id. at 1333. The Board found that (1) Bose stopped manufacturing and selling audio tape recorders and players sometime between 1996 and 1997; and (2) Mr. Sullivan knew that Bose discontinued those products when he signed the Section 8/9 renewal. Id. at 1334-35.

Langdell is doing just this so everytime it comes up for renewal he just suuplies them with some of his special photoshop evidence and they give him his 'Edge' trademark to use for the next ten years!

Federal trademark registrations issued on or after November 16, 1989, remain in force for ten years, and may be renewed for ten-year periods. To renew a registration, the owner must file an Application for Renewal under Section 9. In addition, at the end of the sixth year after the date of registration and at the end of each successive ten-year period after the date of registration, the owner must file a Section 8 Declaration of Continued Use, “an affidavit setting forth those goods or services recited in the registration on or in connection with which the mark is in use in commerce. . . .”
16  Player / Games / Re: Mobigame's Edge pulled because of the word Edge on: September 06, 2009, 03:19:28 PM
I have just been reading up on this case on what accounts to misrepresentation of the use of a trademark –

http://www.pierceatwood.com/showarticle.asp?Show=297

Statements that a mark is in use on all goods or is in use in connection with all services listed in use-based applications when in fact a mark is not in use constitutes fraud on the USPTO.

Now this may be the rules for an application so what about once the trademark is in use?

Edge Games continue to create proof that they are actually trading and developing games so there must be some regulation to them using a mark when in fact it is not in use or only to obtain financial gain from others.

"Game enhancement"?  Undecided

That refers to Darius+ as it was based on the Taito arcade version of the same name minus the +.

The Edge changed it to be more like Xenon 2 with a new ship design and new weapons etc.

The only things that are similar are the end of level  bosses and some of the backgrounds everything else is enhanced.

By the way it was another game first before it became Darius.

From the Edge Games store -

We’ll be opening a new section of our store shortly where you will be able to purchase, download and play many of our original games from the 80s and 90s (we’ll be giving links to emulators to enable them to be played on PCs).

Why is he trying to sell something that is available for free as most of the games are abandonware?

Can't wait so many famous games I will explode with excitement!

Everyone: IT'S ALL OK NOW! Why? There's this great new game coming out soon - you can find out more at the new website:  http://www.edgeracers.com/

Looks great. I mean, there's only one image there, but the logo is very exciting, and the background suitably moody. And the extra four tiny little pics on the beta sign-up page make me sure we'll see the game appear next month! Definitely NOTHING to do with Killer Edge Racing on iPhone.

*SARCASM DETECTOR EXPLODES*

Looks like Langdell was going after this game and also Killer Edge Racing. Langdell's 'RACERS' was the evidence he would have used in a trademark dispute with the creator of the iPhone game and also this game.

That's if he ever had a game but when has that ever stoppped him showing doddgy evidence in a trademark dispute, look at all the hack jobs he has done in the past!
