Edge are not the oldest games company in the world by a long shot:
- Sega (Formed in 1940 as Standard Games, changed their name to Service Games in 1952)
- Namco (Founded in 1955 as Nakamura Manufacturing Corporation)
- Konami (Founded in 1969)
- Atari (As mentioned above, Atari have been around since 1972)
- SNK (Founded in 1978; changed names to Playmore in 2001, now known as SNK Playmore)
- Activision (Founded in October of 1979; Langdell may have the Edge on them)
Oldest games company in the UK, maybe (As far as I can tell, Rare have been around the longest out of all the current companies, having been formed in 1982), but I don't think that's an issue, seeing as Langdell's no longer based in the UK.
And seriously, is he so desperate as to slap court action on Beuken? It'll be interesting to see if this actually goes through; and good luck to Beuken if it does!

Don't forget System 3. They had hits with The Last Ninja and lots of other games.
