One possible problem: he might have to close his mouth for the duration.
Well after some thought the sucking up is a bit Kirby-esque. Not that that's a bad thing

I gotta say, the only change I like there is the enemy's arm color.

I love your art and your characters Siskavard, they got a lot of personnality, but your palette is washing it down somehow... maybe something warmer or more contrasted?

Thanks for the suggestion. This is just one area, which is purposefully purpley & pink. I have more areas in mind & some of them are warmer in tone! Its awesome you linked to Tiny & Big, I love that friggin' game.

I felt I needed to do some more detailed concept work for the Sky Temple area.

That's funny because I never imagined him being gloomy for the rain powerup.
Other than the intro story and some cut-scenes, I'm keeping his face happy throughout!

Awesome...
It's really hard to see the rain though. What about popping it up with some white or something? Maybe making the drops slightly larger.
Might even want to darken the sky temporarily when he starts raining? I would also assume he would turn gray-bluish instead of pure blue. More like raincloud color and less like a sponge soaking up blue paint.
Haha, for sure, this is all just temp visuals to test the mechanics. We're planning to have his head turn more raincloud color. Your visual gauge will be head head literally emptying the greyish color down while it's raining. The rain color is way too light right now. I want it to look more like this eventually

Got the functionality of the rain powerup working, where you'll need to soak up water from ponds, puddles & waterfalls to fill your face full of rain. This should make the cats a little less 'explodey' at least for a little while!

LIVESTREAMIN' 2NITE @ 9PM PACIFIC: TWITCHPlease come and hang out. I'm super awkward. I'll be doing some concepty/environment stuff... maybe, we'll see! Right after that ColdRice will be streaming some Interstellaria gamedev. Also! Look at these FAT STATS! Not bad for a few days. That's just our concept page, we're planning to hit Greenlight at the end of the month, once we have some new gameplay to show off. WISH US LUCPK!!
