Not if you do it right like yoshis flutter kick, thats probably the best example of what im saying
Comparatively, Yoshi doesn't "hover" nearly as long. Also from what Siski was saying, Cloudface can get hover upgrades. It'd be a pain in the ass to memorize a variable hover time. Wouldn't be too difficult after the first couple of times cause you could just count but the hoverometer is just as practical. Yeah, Its just something about this game that I would think less UI = better. The bar is fine either way

Rather than have a hover bar, why not use animation to display how much hover is left? When he is about to fall he cal kick his legs like he is trying to float, or maybe while he floats his cheeks are puffed out? I feel like more animation, more betterer

 I'm spriting this now it's for a dream, kind of. A tea party. It's a dream but also not, things are hard to explain and I honestly need to start posting decent posts that arent "hey lol look at this." I guess I should think of a name for the pizza lady, it's going to be the main characters spirit animal / consciousness entity, who will give you advice and such throughout the game. You get to visit her in a magicant ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8RwvEdtHL8) like area, it will have a pastel pallete and yoshi's island style colored-in look. I'll probably do the music first, however. Thanks for all the posts and interest. In other news, I might buy an ouya and try building this on there, I will report back after I actually get my hands on one, i probably should i have just supported the kickstarter, huh?

lololololo unfortunately, that is not a beard. we'll have closeup pictures in dialogue to clear up any confusion:  but if everyone also thinks it looks like a beard, I'll change the color or remove it! not much to report, been working on art assets that are too spoilerish to show, and sachi's writing the script for the first world. it's going to be MAGICAL SCHOOL THEMED thanks for your support guys! you don't know how many times i've been asked "is that a scarf or a beard"

In the process of adding enemies today, check out this icky gunky  this is going to take a while, since when you kill stuff, the ghosts spawn in -1 plane from you, so you can kill its ghost
