Does anyone know how to save gifs with transparent backgrounds in Graphics Gale? I'm going to use this as the header of my new website and part of the html allows another image to parallax behind the header, which I'm making clouds. Only problem is that you can see the clouds being cut off by the white areas of this picture. Any ideas?

I have nothing to look forward to, so waking up and finding something to do with my day is painful and needless to say a hassle. I get commission offers for art all the time, most people would probably kill for this kind of business at my age; yet it doesn't excite or make me happy. I often end up ignoring opportunity because it bores me, I don't really want the money because I don't have a preference for living condition.
I usually end up going and wasting my money on super expensive drinks at the local tea market. I don't have any friends so I can't go waste time with them, I just loiter in public places because it feels half decent to be around other human beings.
The girls that work there are cute, and ended up showing interest but I kept my mouth shut because i'd be miserable tied down to this shitty city over some girl I hardly care about. It's also hard trying to make conversation with people, it either feels like a giant circle jerk or some surface value bullshit I can't groove to. Nothing I experience feels real, sincere, or genuine.
Everything is great, I'm having opportunity, money, and relationships shoved at me from every angle I can think of. Yet I still feel some sort of unfillable void wearing away my integrity at the end of each day.
Does this make me unappreciative, or am I simply pursuing the wrong dream? Something tells me I just need to grow up and just get work done and not think about it, finish my game, use the opportunities, make money and lots of friends. None of that feels natural or real though and what's it all worth if I'm not happy?

why do I get a certain Fez feeling. phil must be very proud to pervert anyone's mind when looking at floating platforms.
Fez is like my third favorite game of all time, I'm constantly pulling inspiration from it. Also in this picture I'm blatantly borrowing Phil's "teris design".

Thanks, I really look up to artists like Hermippe and Craig D. Adams whose styles blatantly resemble pixel art but don't feed off a video gamey aesthetic. I think their art has a perfect balance of letting the medium define their style while influencing the medium with minimal-yet vital changes made to their own individual style.

Super duper duper duper rough sketch up of a header I'm putting together for the header of my tumblr. The html allows animation so the clouds will parallax and the birds will fly and stuff. I'm going for a really foggy aesthetic, it's hard to tell now but once some transparency is applied it will look more erie. I want to know if this resolution looks good or not for my usual style? I'm afraid it won't hold an 8bit aesthetic if it's too painterly. Does it look like pixel art or will it come across as a low res drawing? Oh and here's some practice for that foggy look.

I honestly have no idea what to do with this picture. I haven't even touched it in weeks because I've been busy preparing for exhibitions and doing commissioned work. I've run dry of inspiration for this piece, it's stuck in that "I'll finish it someday" limbo. Any suggestions?

just felt like releasing this big sprite sheet for a game called project ark. the artist and i made it for gbjam a few weeks ago. quite a lot of sprites. we could have made something more arcade styled and kept that down, so maybe next time! the other entries are awesome as well, but i don't think they've posted their sprites here yet. i could be mistaken! I cried.

Alright, I finally figured out how to scale up an animation from 32x32 without making it look like caca. So... An improved severed monster head. The smearing on the head at the death animation bugs me slightly, but not too much. I like this little dude a lot. Make the vomiting look more painful, like having his head shake before so.

I hear a lot of "Pacific Rim lacked substance but the CG was good...etc" What made me fall in love with the movie were the tiny details that del Toro put into the sets. Little things like tubes containing kaiju body parts and the overall atmosphere he built up in both the base and the black market. Del Toro is known for his epic set pieces and costume work, so when I saw how heavily Pacific Rim relied on CGI I was concerned. He delivered though, that movie was damn beautiful and won't have too much of a problem falling apart as it ages.
