goldeneye, for nostalgia reasons. i never actually had the game b/c my mom wouldn't allow games that were too violent, so i always just played it at friends' places and as a result, sucked rly badly at it. i don't use emulators anymore so would probably try to track down a used copy and dig up my old n64. Is the PS3 remake any good? it's supposed to be pretty bad and (iirc) not really a remake either.

huh? you don't usually compile music files and theyre not that big either. we're talking about a handful of megabytes max unless your soundtrack is in an uncompressed audio format and is like 40+ minutes long and you're loading all of it into RAM at startup (which you shouldn't do anyway).

What i heard is that the nemsis system works well but is kinda underused in the game and the vast majority of it is open world by numbers (this seems to happen rather often with "AAA" games). im mildly interested but gonna wait for a sale.

Nisennenmondai- Nalbum came in the mail the other day. i like the strict minimalism, but im not fully sold on it because im not a fan of the kind of ultra straight four on the floor techno beat that makes up half of it (2 of the 3 tracks, including the one i linked, "branch out" eventually and become a tiny bit more syncopated and funky). still, props for supreme discipline and commitment.

yeah I'm not a big batman guy. I was warned about those stealth sections too.
ya i'm not either, so i was lukewarm about the game (even tho i enjoyed and finished it). but i could totally see how it would be a batman fan's dream game. i mean, as a fan of spaghetti westerns i kinda feel the same way about red dead redemption haha.

And apparently the "search" function in start menu also pulls results from internet! Get ready for your grandparents accidentally installing loads of scammy stuff. That was going to happen anyway, they're just streamlining the process. my parents (who are probably as old as your grandparents) don't even know how to use the search function.

batman arkum asylum. Pretty good but I'm not sure if the combat is as amazing as everyone says, I'm still really early in the game so maybe it will evolve.
the combat mainly "feels good", it's not actually mechanically that great. same for the stealth. welp what i DO like about the stealth is that they found a way to NOT make stealth sections a total show stopper, as they are in most action games. but tbh how much you're going to enjoy arkham asylum hinges pretty much 99% on how much you like the idea of playing as batman and doing batman stuff.
