Hi! I’m a member of a small indie game team that’s trying to Kickstart
Tooth & Cog, a
turn-based strategy game with a focus on online multiplayer and a steampunk aesthetic.
In brief, it's our attempt to bring deep and engaging 4X (explore, expand, exploit, exterminate) game-play into the internet age, something we don't think has been done too well so far.
I'm definitely interested in what people out there think of the general concept -- is 4X strategy an area you feel would benefit from more multiplayer options?
Our game would have the intent of being turn-based while still keeping multiplayer intense and engaging. We do this with simultaneous turns, team vs team games, objective-based game-play, in-game chat, scalable maps, and server customization, and perhaps some other stuff too, depending on beta-testing and feedback.
