WHY is the LANDS bigger than the Azure? it's like super mario LAND or kirby's DREAMLAND or LEGEND of zelda anyway, i have the utmost respect for you. you did not distract yourself from the finished product (a game in the making), it's been quite a long ride and a few years have passed. i still remember when you were new to spriting and everyone was editing your sprites for you to learn. now you're much better,

For a pokemon-like MMORPG in the making! If any pixel artists are interested and would like to help out, feel free to PM me. Most I can offer is a fun experience and profit-share, though. this is too godly i don't think much people can sprite anything in that kind of style haha but i hope people still try though will they be animated?

Obviously, there would be different classes - Artist, writer, programmer, designer, composer, troll, moderator... or something...
and then there's antymattar

Convert a gamer who talks about game ideas. And then lend him books on programming and help him. Now you have a programmer. That's not how it works. I was a gamer who loved talking about game ideas. But I was more visually-inclined which made me a Pixel Artist instead of a programmer. Even if you give me a book on programming I won't get it too well if I'm not programming-inclined

Using Indie "Celebs" as characters for the game is actually fun because it's a game you made for you, and for this community, specifically. You didn't intend all the others to get that, just this little inside joke on everyone.
The Spriter's Resource had that SSB community project that never came to life because everyone was too busy with their own shit. Nobody was getting paid and the demands were too high. However, now they're running The Fighter's Resource which is a game where they put their fucking selves in it. The demands were little and the spriting style was easy to adapt to. The progress is speeding up nicely.
Basically in a community you care more about yourself and your own work rather than joining forces with others.

The 4th one (with noise) is the best one considering that it is actually soil/dirt. The 5th one (wavy) is cartoony and pleasing to the eyes but removes the pixel art feel of the environment. If you were gonna have that kind of texture, then why not have the actual outlines be as smooth as them?

the aura is currently visually unappealing (it's too big right now) i'd appreciate having a white circle but it's too fat atm and this has so much potential

Ve (it means escape velocity)
how about: -"hook" (where the two o's are joined to make the "infinity sign") -"hook love" (nice wink to noitu love, which is one of my inspirations. also fits the aesthetics of the game better I think since it's a lighthearted cheerful thing) why would you make the oos and infinity sign? why exactly hook love is like 2 words having 1 syllable each. i won't remember it tomorrow @nantas - Lucky is such a terrible word to put in a game title unless worked in a fancy way like "i just got lucky" or something like that i personally like loose change. i think nobody took that yet. oh, and don't do triple posts

Just finished VVVVVV (today) and Braid (a few days ago).
VVVVVV's game design was godly.. It had exploration and I really had no complaints with the game. Maybe the controls were a bit slippery.. But it added difficulty to the game which was nice and not overdone
