Before killing my keyboard, I want to list them: #10: The Power A fun but hard platformer. #9: FLaiL Starts easy then gets REALLY hard REALLY fast... REALLY. #8: N Yay! Another hard physics platformer! #7: Banana Nababa A very hard boss-only platformer. #6: La-Mulana Even though it's really hard, its still one of the best freeware games EVER. #5: Paroxysm The only thing keeping me from killing my keyboard is the mindless gore. Yum. #4: Terav Even the first boss is INCREDIBLY HARD #3: Punishment I don't think The Punisher could cause this much mayhem. #2: Syobon Action Wow... just wow. #1: I Wanna Be The Guy OH DEAR GOD KILL ME NOW.

Tried playing that once. Stopped when the high-speed upgrade didn't carry over one room to the next and I couldn't proceed. Has that been fixed?
I think so. But there are still a few complaints about some minor glitches.

I just watched Shoot Em Up. What a blast! Weird though, it's the second movie that features Clive Owen protecting a baby from violent gunmen. (The first being Children of Men). I hope he doesn't get stereotyped as 'the guy who shoots bad guys while holding a baby in his other hand'.
Lol yeah I noticed that too. Both great movies

PS2: 1: Disgaea I was looking at some of the artwork for that just the other day. Makes me so tempted by those cheap PS2s... X-Com Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Immortal Defense Final Fantasy Tactics Dwarf Fortress Outlaws Planescape: Torment Pikmin 2 Majora's Mask Jet Force Gemini4: Red Faction 2 That's above the original? Also also, I looked over your list again! Kirby: Crystal Shards is in there? Gosh! Either you're deprived or I need to punch your face in. Where's Jet Force Gemini? Where's... umm, okay, I guess JFG and Majora's Mask are the only N64 games I like . I've never played Red Faction 1. Kirby Crystal Shards was awesome. Its my favorite Kirby game. Let's NOT start a flamewar. And I've never played Jet Force Gemini (I've heard of it)

Haha, I know what you mean about being too busy. I currently have 13,000 wordsworth of essays I'm writing at the moment to end my year; the sucky side of student life. You could maybe even just have one candidate for each day of the week. Friday's with Fish, Tuesdays with Tommy...and...I guess we'd need to invent a new day of the week for Derek and Alec . In seriousness though FGOTD is what it is because of you so don't fret too much about decisions, just go with what makes sense to you! That's a good idea. But then it would have to be on the main page. If you can get Derek to do that, then great. I guess I'll do weekends, then.

1: How about a competition that gives each competitor two of these words: shmup, adventure, rpg, sim, action, arcade, puzzle, platformer, strategy, physics, abstract, or multiplayer. Whatever the two words are, that is what the game must be.
2: Or how about voting on a freeware game (like one that gets really good reviews) and which ever one is picked, the competitors have to make a game inspired by it.
3: OR A MONACLE GAME COMPETITION!

I have a few ideas:
1: A Competition where you use a program to create a game where it is a different style game than the program was meant for. Like making a shooting/strategy game with AGS. Or an RPG with Game Maker.
2: A shmup that has to have these qualities:
-Has do deal with one or more of these elements, ice, fire, earth, wind, water, thunder, light, or dark. - Has to be abstract -Has to have 3 weapons
3: An point-and-click adventure game that has to have the qualities: -Has to deal with the numbers: 17, 31, and 42. -Takes place locked in a building. - Has to be 3 cut scenes.
4: Knytt Stories level competition: -Has to be under 50 slides -Can only have hugh jump, double jump, run, and climb abilities -Has to have a storyline somewhere along the lines of the apocalypse.

I don't see what would stop people from just making their own "Freeware game of the day" threads. Why do you think there has to be only one? That's a good point. I hate being "self-idolizing," thinking I'm the best. But if there's a bunch, everything will go downhill. If there's one, then it will be more organized.
